[Machine] That the Prophet ﷺ wiped over the upper part of his socks in this way.  

البيهقي:١٣٨٤ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ فُورَكٍ أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ مَسَحَ عَلَى ظَاهِرِ خُفَّيْهِ كَذَا  

رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ وَكَذَلِكَ رَوَاهُ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُوسَى عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ وَرَوَاهُ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْهَاشِمِيُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ
