"I came to the Messenger of Allah" and he mentioned something similar. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4176)

أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ as saying: He then mentioned the rest of the tradition to the same effect as mentioned by Sufyan. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4540)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَ الْحَدِيثِ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed the Dhuhr prayer and mentioned its meaning.

صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَاةَ الظُّهْرِ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned his meaning.

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked, "O Messenger of Allah, is Umrah obligatory?" He replied, "No."

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ الْعُمْرَةُ أَوَاجِبَةٌ هِيَ؟ قَالَ لَا

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said during the Farewell Pilgrimage and mentioned its significance.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, what are the two things that justify a reward?" So the Prophet mentioned the hadith.

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا الْمُوجِبَتَانِ؟ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] We came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while we were forty and four hundred, and he mentioned the Hadith.

أَتَيْنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَنَحْنُ أَرْبَعُونَ وَأَرْبَعُمِائَةٍ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] We met the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he mentioned the hadith.

أَتَيْنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] We came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and he mentioned the narration.

أَتَيْنَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] He went out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned the conversation.

أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] He informed him, so he mentioned the conversation.

أَخْبَرَهُ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , saying, "Indeed, Allah does not punish, so he mentioned the Hadith."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللهَ لَا يُعَذِّبُ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] We sent the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a secret mission and he mentioned a story similar to the story of Prophet Yunus.

بَعَثَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي سَرِيَّةٍ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ يُونُسَ

[AI] About the sacrificial animals, he mentioned the narration.

عَنِ الْأَضَاحِيِّ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] From Zadhan, he mentioned the narration.

عَنْ زَاذَانَ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "So he mentioned its likeness."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ وَلَمْيُسْنِدْهُ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Modesty is all good." Then he mentioned the hadith.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ الْحَيَاءُ خَيْرٌ كُلُّهُ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] The meaning of the passage is: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ had a whip, so he mentioned its significance."

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ قَدْ شَمِطَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] The Prophet of Allah (may ﷺ ) said about the Dajjal (Antichrist) and mentioned something similar to him.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الدَّجَّالِ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] About the Prophet ﷺ , he mentioned the narration.

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] "About the Prophet ﷺ , he mentioned the narration."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] The Prophet of Allah ﷺ prayed the morning prayer and then said, "There is a witness, so and so," and mentioned the narration.

صَلَّى نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ الْغَدَاةَ ثُمَّ قَالَ شَاهِدٌ فُلَانٌ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] O Messenger of Allah, I have seen men who mentioned its meaning.

يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رِجَالًا فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] About the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , he mentioned the narration.

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] "He came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and mentioned the conversation."

أَنَّهُ جَاءَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] Abu Rifaa'a is a man from the tribe of Bani Adiy. I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was giving a sermon and he mentioned the Hadith.

أَبُو رِفَاعَةَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي عَدِيٍّ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يَخْطُبٌ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say. . . He then mentioned the tradition to the same effect. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4492)

أتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ… فَذَكَرَ مَعْناهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said and mentioned the like of it.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] I said, so he mentioned the conversation.

قُلْتُ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] "While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned its meaning with us."

بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ mention something similar.

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] About Nudbah, he mentioned the story.

عَنْ نُدبَةَ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressed us and mentioned something similar."

خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said in my house, so he mentioned its meaning.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي بَيْتِي فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

[AI] She saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ riding on a camel and holding a pearl in his hand, then he mentioned the conversation.

أَنَّهَا رَأَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى نَاقَةٍ وَبِيَدِهِ دِرَّةٌ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed for us and mentioned us.

صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَهُ

[AI] His mother came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "So he mentioned its meaning with us."

أَنَّ أُمَّهُ أَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ

The above mentioned tradition has also been transmitted in a similar manner by Ibn 'Abbas from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1491)

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ

[AI] He informed him (the Prophet), saying, "A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, 'Indeed, I have divorced and remembered the hadith.'"

أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنِّي أَعْزِلُ وَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] "We sent the messenger of Allah ﷺ to Al-Hurqat, and he mentioned the tradition."

«بَعَثَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِلَى الْحُرُقَاتِ» فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ

[AI] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "A man is brought..." and then he mentioned the narration.

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ «يُؤْتَى بِالرَّجُلِ» فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ
