قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى الْمُقَتَّتُ الْمُطَيَّبُ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ فَرْقَدٍ السَّبَخِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ وَقَدْ تَكَلَّمَ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ فِي فَرْقَدٍ السَّبَخِيِّ وَرَوَى عَنْهُ النَّاسُ
ibnmajah:3083 – ʿAlī b. Muḥammad > Wakīʿ > Ḥammād b. Salamah > Farqad al-Sabakhī > Saʿīd b. Jubayr > Ibn ʿUmar

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Prophet ﷺ used to put oil on his head when he was in the state of Ihram, but not oil that was perfumed.  

ابن ماجة:٣٠٨٣ – حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ فَرْقَدٍ السَّبَخِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَدَّهِنُ رَأْسَهُ بِالزَّيْتِ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ غَيْرَ الْمُقَتَّتِ  

ahmad:6089 – Yūnus > Ḥammād / Ibn Salamah > Farqad al-Sabakhī > Saʿīd b. Jubayr > Ibn ʿUmar

[Machine] It is narrated that the Prophet ﷺ applied a forbidden perfumed oil.
