The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ʿI have exempted horses and slaves from zakah.”  

أحمد:١٢٦٩ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِشْكَابَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَفَوْتُ عَنِ الْخَيْلِ وَالرَّقِيقِ فِي الصَّدَقَةِ
