[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "I am only a human being, and I forget just as you forget. So, whoever has any doubts in his prayer should consider what is most correct, complete it and then perform two prostrations."

ahmad:4349Muḥammad b. ʿUbayd > al-Aʿmash > ʿUmārah > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Yazīd

[Machine] "O Abu Muhammad, come for lunch." He replied, "Is today not the day of Ashura?" He asked, "And what is it?" The other person said, "It is only a day that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to fast before Ramadan, but when the month of Ramadan came, he left fasting it."

ahmad:4350Muḥammad b. ʿUbayd > al-Aʿmash > Shaqīq b. Salamah > ʿAbdullāh

[Machine] I know the surahs that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to recite in two units of prayer.

ahmad:4351ʿAbdullāh b. al-Walīd > Sufyān > al-Aʿmash > Abū Wāʾil > ʿAbdullāh b. Masʿūd

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I will be waiting for you at the Hawd (the Pool) on the Day of Resurrection, and some men will be driven away from me, so I will say, 'O Lord, my companions!' And it will be said to me, 'You do not know what they innovated after you.'"

[Machine] When the victory of Allah and the conquest come (i.e., when the help of Allah and the conquest of Makkah occurred), the Prophet ﷺ used to frequently say: "Subhanaka Allahumma wa bihamdika Allahumma, ighfir li innaka antat-Tawwab (Glory be to You, O Allah, and all praise is due to You, O Allah, forgive me for You are the Most Forgiving.)"

ahmad:4353Abū Saʿīd > Ḥammād b. Salamah > ʿAlī b. Zayd > Abū Rāfiʿ > Ibn Masʿūd

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said that on the night of the jinn, a group of them surrounded him. One of them came, as dark as the trunk of a palm tree, and told me not to leave my place. He instructed me to recite the Quran to them. When the jinn saw Zut, he said that they were similar to them. The Prophet ﷺ then asked if I had any water, to which I replied no. He asked if I had any wine, and I replied yes. He then performed ablution with it.

ahmad:4354Abū Saʿīd And Ibn Jaʿfar > Shuʿbah > Abū Isḥāq > Muḥammad / Ibn Jaʿfar > Abū Isḥāq > Abū al-Aḥwaṣ > ʿAbdullāh

ahmad:4355Abū Qaṭan > al-Masʿūdī > ʿAlī b. al-Aqmar > Abū al-Aḥwaṣ > ʿAbdullāh > Man Sarrah

[Machine] If someone meets Allah tomorrow as a Muslim, let them strive to preserve these five prayers where they are called to them, for Allah the Almighty and Majestic has ordained the Sunnah of guidance for his Prophet, and they are among the Sunnah of guidance. And I do not think of any one of you except that they have a mosque in which they pray in their homes. So if you pray in your homes and abandon your mosques, you would abandon the Sunnah of your Prophet ﷺ . And if you abandon the Sunnah of your Prophet, you would go astray.

ahmad:4357Abū Muʿāwiyah > al-Aʿmash > Ibrāhīm > al-Aswad > ʿAbdullāh

We were with Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a cave when there was revealed to him (the Sura al-Mursalat, i. e. Sura lxxvii.:" By those sent forth to spread goodness" ) and we had just heard (it) from his lips that there appeared before us a snake. He said: Kill it. We hastened to kill it, but it slipped away from us, thereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Allah saved it from your harm just as he saved you from its evil. (Using translation from Muslim 2234a)

[Machine] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ made a mistake in the prayer, so he performed the prostrations of forgetfulness after completing the speech.

It was said to him that some people were throwing from above the pebbles. He replied, "By the One in whose presence there is no god but Him, this is the place where Surah Al-Baqarah was revealed."

ahmad:4362Hāshim b. al-Qāsim > al-Masʿūdī > Abū Nahshal > Abū Wāʾil

[Machine] Abdullah, the people's favor, ordered the killing of the captives on the day of Badr. But Allah, the Almighty, revealed: "Had it not been for a Book from Allah that had preceded, you would have been touched with a great punishment" (Quran 8:68). And when the mention of the veil was made, the Prophet ﷺ ordered the wives of the Prophet ﷺ to cover themselves. Zainab said to him, "Even though you are upon us, O son of Al-Khattab, and revelation descends upon us in our homes?" So Allah, the Almighty, revealed: "And when you ask [his wives] for something, ask them from behind a partition" (Quran 33:53). And with the Prophet's supplication, "O Allah, strengthen Islam with Umar and support his opinion in the matter of Abu Bakr. He was the first to pledge allegiance to him."

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Indeed, one of the slaves of Allah sent him to his people, but they beat him and hit his face." He continued to wipe the blood off his forehead and said, "My Lord, forgive my people, for they do not know." Abdullah said, "It is as if I am seeing the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiping the blood off his forehead, speaking about the man and saying, 'My Lord, forgive my people, for they do not know.'"

Muhammad, or Abu al-Qasim, verily, Allah, the Exalted and Glorious would carry the Heavens on the Day of Judgment upon one finger and earths upon one finger and the mountains and trees upon one finger and the ocean and moist earth upon one finger, and in fact the whole of the creation upon one finger, and then He would stir them and say: I am your Lord, I am your Lord. Never a Prophet had been sent before me by Allah towards his nation who had not among his people (his) disciples and companions who followed his ways and obeyed his command. Then there came after them their successors who said whatever they did not practise, and practised whatever they were not commanded to do. He who strove against them with his hand was a believer: he who strove against them with his tongue was a believer, and he who strove against them with his heart was a believer and beyond that there is no faith even to the extent of a mustard seed. Abu Rafi' said: I narrated this hadith to 'Abdullah b. 'Umar; he contradicted me. There happened to come 'Abdullah b. Mas'ud who stayed at Qanat, and 'Abdullah b 'Umar wanted me to accompany him for visiting him (as 'Abdullah b. Mas'ud was ailing), so I went along with him and as we sat (before him) I asked Ibn Mas'ud about this hadith. He narrated it in the same way as I narrated it to Ibn 'Umar. So I stood up with him and I took a vessel, which I only thought contained water. I went out with the Messenger of Allahﷺ until we reached a higher part of Mecca, and I saw a group of people gathering. The Messenger of Allahﷺ drew a line for me, then he said, 'Stand here until I come to you.' So I stood, and the Messenger of Allahﷺ went to them, and I saw them crowding around him. The Messenger of Allahﷺ stayed with them for a long night until he came to me at dawn and said, 'Have you been standing all night, O Ibn Mas'ud?' I replied, 'O Messenger of Allah, didn't you tell me to stand here until you come to me?' He then said to me, 'Do you have any water?' I said, 'Yes,' and I opened the vessel only to find that it contained wine.' I said to him, 'O Messenger of Allah, I swear by Allah, I took this vessel thinking it had nothing but water, and here it is wine.' The Messenger of Allahﷺ said, 'It is a good date and pure water.' He then performed ablution with it. When he stood up to pray, two men approached him and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, we wish for you to lead us in prayer.' The Messenger of Allahﷺ lined them up behind him, and he led us in prayer. When he finished, I asked him, 'O Messenger of Allah, who are those people?' He replied, 'They are jinn, two groups who came to argue with each other about matters that were between them. They asked me for provisions, and I gave them some.' I then asked him, 'Do you have anything, O Messenger of Allah, that I can give them?' He said, 'I have given them the return, and they did not find anything but straw, so they took it, and they did not find anything but bones, so they took them as fodder.' He said: "So he used to say when he sat in the middle and at the end of the prayer, leaning on his left leg: 'Greetings, prayers and good deeds are for Allah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.' Then if he was in the middle of the prayer, he would rise when he finished the tashahhud. And if he was at the end of the prayer, he would supplicate whatever Allah willed, and then he would say the salaam."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "A woman should not describe another woman to her husband as if she were praising or describing her. And a man should not whisper to his companion in the presence of a third person, for that would grieve him. And whoever swears a false oath to take away the property of his brother or says about the property of a Muslim that which is not true, he will meet Allah Almighty while He is angry with him." As-Sa'di bin Qays bin Mas'ood heard this and narrated it, and he said: "This is what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said. And in the case of a dispute between a man and me, we went to the Prophet ﷺ by a well."
