ahmad:4378Yaʿqūb from my father > Ibn Isḥāq > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. al-Aswad b. Yazīd al-Nakhaʿī from his uncle ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Yazīd > And Qaft Maʿ ʿAbdullāh b. Masʿūd Bayn Yaday al-Jamrah Falammā Waqaf Bayn Yadayhā

[Machine] This is the position on which Surah Al-Baqarah was revealed, the day it was thrown (down). Then Abdullah ibn Mas'ud threw it with seven pebbles while he would say the takbir with each pebble that he threw, then he walked away.  

أحمد:٤٣٧٨حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ النَّخَعِيُّ عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ وَقَفْتُ مَعَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ الْجَمْرَةِ فَلَمَّا وَقَفَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهَا قَالَ

هَذَا وَالَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُهُ مَوْقِفُ الَّذِي أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ يَوْمَ رَمَاهَا قَالَ ثُمَّ رَمَاهَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ بِسَبْعِ حَصَيَاتٍ يُكَبِّرُ مَعَ كُلِّ حَصَاةٍ رَمَى بِهَا ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ

[Machine] "I saw Abdullah performing the stoning ritual in the valley. He placed the pebbles on his right cheek and faced the Kaaba. Then he threw them with seven pebbles, proclaiming ‘Allahu Akbar’ after each throw. Afterwards, he said: ‘This is as it was done by the one upon whom Surah Al-Baqarah was revealed.’"

رَأَيْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ اسْتَبْطَنَ الْوَادِيَ فَجَعَلَ الْجَمْرَةَ عَنْ حَاجِبِهِ الْأَيْمَنِ وَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْبَيْتَ ثُمَّ رَمَاهَا بِسَبْعِ حَصَيَاتٍ يُكَبِّرُ دُبُرَ كُلِّ حَصَاةٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ هَذَا وَالَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُهُ مَقَامُ الَّذِي أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ

[Machine] Abdullah threw the pebbles of Al-Aqaba from the bottom of the valley with seven stones. With each throw, he exclaimed "Allahu Akbar" (Allah is the greatest). It was said to him that some people were throwing from above the pebbles. He replied, "By the One in whose presence there is no god but Him, this is the place where Surah Al-Baqarah was revealed."  

أحمد:٤٣٥٩حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ

رَمَى عَبْدُ اللهِ جَمْرَةَ الْعَقَبَةِ مِنْ بَطْنِ الْوَادِي بِسَبْعِ حَصَيَاتٍ يُكَبِّرُ مَعَ كُلِّ حَصَاةٍ فَقِيلَ لَهُ إِنَّ نَاسًا يَرْمُونَهَا مِنْ فَوْقِهَا فَقَالَ هَذَا وَالَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُهُ مَقَامُ الَّذِي أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ
