[Machine] The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم stood among us and said, "Nothing happens due to predestined measures, meaning, nothing one does, nor any sickness, nor any relief, nor any loss, except that it has been pre-destined by Allah, and Allah has recorded the measurement of that for every creation. The Bedouin stood up and said, 'O Messenger of Allah! Does taking precautions benefit in anyway against the disease, or is it merely a means of earning livelihood?' The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم replied, 'What has ever been written is decreed and nothing can change it, except du'a (supplication). No sickness shall befall except with Allah's leave. Therefore, seek Allah's protection from it, but do not expose yourself unnecessarily to it."

Then he said, "There is no Muslim who is harmed by a thorn or anything above it, except that Allah, the Exalted, removes his sins from him as leaves fall from a tree."

He described it as smoke coming out of a man. Abu Sufyan then came to him and said: O Muhammad, your people have been perished, so pray to Allah Almighty to alleviate their suffering. He supplicated and said: O Allah, if they return, then make the drought return with them, and this is mentioned in the narration of Mansur (narrator). Then he recited the verse: 'Then watch out for the Day when the sky will bring forth a visible smoke.' (Ad-Dukhan 10)."

Both of them were circumcised, but the Qurayshi had excessive belly fat while the Thaqafi had less. Their understanding was limited, and they started conversing among themselves. One of them asked his companion, 'Do you think Allah, the Almighty, hears what we say?' The other replied, 'I believe He hears us when we raise our voices but not when we speak softly.' The first one said, 'If He hears anything from us, He hears it all.' So, I went to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him about this. Then Allah, the Almighty, revealed the verse: 'And you were not covering yourselves lest your hearing testify against you or your sight or your skins, but you assumed that Allah does not know much of what you do.' (Surah Fussilat, 41: 22)"

Note: The Arabic phrase "ﷺ" is a respectful way to refer to the Prophet Muhammad. It stands for "Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam," which means "Peace be upon him."

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no reward for anyone who fasts except for the one who is praying or traveling."

The blood of a Muslim man who testifies that there is no god but Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah should not be lawfully shed but only for one of three reasons: married fornicator, soul for soul, and one who deserts his religion separating himself from the community. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4352)

[Machine] "I sought out Abu Jahl on the day of Badr, and his leg had been struck and he was lying unconscious. He was pushing people away from him with his sword. So I said, "Praise be to Allah who humiliated you, O enemy of Allah." He replied, "Is he not just a man whom his people have killed?" I then attempted to take his sword, but I only managed to grab his hand and his sword fell away from him. I took hold of it and struck him with it until I killed him. Then I went until I reached the Prophet ﷺ , as if I were lighter than the earth. I informed him, and he said, "Is it not Allah, whom there is no deity except Him?" And he repeated it three times. I said, "It is Allah, whom there is no deity except Him." The Prophet ﷺ then stood up and walked with me and said, "Praise be to Allah who humiliated you, O enemy of Allah. This was the Pharaoh of this nation." Abu Ubaidah reported from Abu Ishaq from Abu Ubaydah who said, 'Abdullah then gifted me his sword."

[Machine] I came to the Prophet ﷺ on the day of Badr and said, "I have killed Abu Jahl." He said, "Is there anyone worthy of worship except Allah?" I said, "The only one worthy of worship is Allah." He repeated it three times. He then said, "Allah is the Greatest. All praise is due to Allah who fulfilled His promise, aided His servant, and defeated the groups alone." I asked him to show me Abu Jahl, so we went and found him. Then he said, "This is Pharaoh and his nation."
