ahmad:4148Abū Muʿāwiyah > al-Aʿmash > Abū Wāʾil > ʿAbdullāh

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ took an oath, then a man from the Ansar said, "I do not desire this division for the sake of the face of Allah, the Mighty, the Glorious." Abdullah said, "O enemy of Allah, should I not inform the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about what you said?" So, I mentioned that to the Prophet ﷺ and his face turned red, and he said, "May the mercy of Allah be upon Musa, he was treated with more than this, yet he remained patient."

ahmad:4149Ismāʿīl > Dāwud And Ibn Abū Zāʾidah al-Maʿná > Dāwud > al-Shaʿbī > ʿAlqamah

that 'Alqamah said: "I said to Ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him: 'Did any of you accompany the Prophet ﷺ on the Night of the Jinn?' He said: 'None of us accompanied him. One night, while he was in Makkah, we could not find him. We said: "He has been murdered [or] snatched, what has happened to him?" So we spent the worst night a people could spend until the morning' or 'it was about dawn when we saw him coming from the direction of Hira.' He said: 'They told him about what they had went through.'" "So he ﷺ said: 'Someone from the Jinn came to invite me, so I went to them to recite for them.' He said: "So we went and saw their tracks and the traces of their camp fire.'" Ash-Sha'bi said: "They asked him about their provisions - and they were Jinns of Mesopotamia - so he said: 'Every bone upon which Allah's name has not been mentioned, that falls into your hands, and every dropping of dung is fodder for your beasts.'" So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Do not perform Istinja with them for indeed they are provisions for your brothers among the Jinns." (Using translation from Tirmidhī 3258)

I performed Hajj with Ibn Masʿud , and saw him doing Rami of the big Jamra (Jamrat-ul-Aqaba) with seven small pebbles, keeping the Kaʿba on his left side and Mina on his right. He then said, "This is the place where the one on whom Surat-al-Baqara was revealed (i.e. Messenger of Allah ﷺ ) stood." (Using translation from Bukhārī 1749)

ahmad:4151Muḥammad b. Jaʿfar > Shuʿbah > al-Ḥakam > Dhar > Wāʾil b. Mahānah > ʿAbdullāh b. Masʿūd

[Machine] About the Prophet ﷺ , he said to the women, "Give in charity, for you are the majority of the inhabitants of Hell." A woman who was not from the noblest or wisest among them asked, "O Messenger of Allah, why is that? What is the reason?" He replied, "Verily, you [women] curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands."

ahmad:4152Bahz > Shuʿbah > al-Ḥakam > Dhar > Wāʾil b. Mahānah from Taym al-Ribāb from Aṣḥāb ʿAbdullāh > ʿAbdullāh

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to the women, "Give in charity, for indeed you are the majority of the inhabitants of the Hellfire." A woman who was not one of the prominent women asked, "And why is that? And for what reason? And why?" So he mentioned the hadith.

[Machine] I heard Abdullah say, "Did you hear it from Abdullah?" I replied, "Yes, he told me himself." Abdullah said, "No one is more capable than Allah Almighty, and for this reason, He has prohibited indecent acts, both those that are openly committed and those that are concealed. And no one loves praise more than Allah Almighty, so He has praised Himself."

ahmad:4154Muḥammad b. Jaʿfar > Shuʿbah > ʿAmr b. Murrah > Abū Wāʾil > a man Jāʾ > Ibn Masʿūd

A person came to 'Abdullah b. Mas'ud and said: I recited all the mufassal surahs in one rak'ah during the night. 'Abdullah said: You must have recited hastily like the recitation of poetry. 'Abdullah said: I remember well the manner in which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to combine them, and he then mentioned twenty of the mufassal surahs, and (their combinations in) two in every rak'ah. (Using translation from Muslim 822f)

ahmad:4155Muḥammad b. Jaʿfar And Ḥajjāj > Shuʿbah > Saʿd b. Ibrāhīm > Abū ʿUbaydah

[Machine] The translation is: "It was reported that when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sat down in the first two units (rak'ahs) of prayer, it was as if he was sitting on a cushion. I (Saad) said, 'Until when should I wait before standing (from the sitting position)?' He replied, 'Until he stands up.' Hajjaj said, 'Shu'bah reported that Saad used to move his lips with something during prayer, so I asked, 'Until when should I wait before standing?' He replied, 'Until he stands up.'"

I was the last one to come to him.' He said, 'Indeed, you will be aided, afflicted, and victorious. So whoever reaches that, let him fear Allah, enjoin good, and forbid evil. [Machine] The Messenger of Allah passed by me while I was praying. He said, "Ask him for something, O son of Umm Abd." So Umar ibn al-Khattab spoke up and said, "I requested it before you, Abu Bakr, and we never asked for anything but Abu Bakr would always get ahead of me." Abu Bakr said, "Indeed, among my supplications that I almost never neglect is: O Allah, I ask You for an eternal bliss that never perishes, a comfort that never fades, and the companionship of the Prophet Muhammad in the highest level of Paradise, the Garden of Eternity."

For no one will enter Paradise but a Muslim soul, and among the people of polytheism you are like a white hair on the hide of a black bull, or like a black hair on the hide of a red bull.’” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 4283)

They said, "O Messenger of Allah, did you dislike the cutting off of his hand?" He replied, "What prevented me from doing so? Do not be a support for Satan against your brother. It is incumbent upon the Imam, when a prescribed punishment is brought to him, to carry it out. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful, and He loves forgiveness. {And let them pardon and overlook. Would you not like that Allah should forgive you? And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.}" [Surah An-Nur 22]
