[Machine] "As if I am looking at the Prophetﷺ while he narrates a story about a Prophet. He said, 'His people used to hit him until he would fall unconscious.' He said, 'Then he would wipe his forehead and say, "O Allah, forgive my people, for they do not know."' "  

أحمد:٤٢٠٣ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ

كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَهُوَ يَحْكِي نَبِيًّا قَالَ كَانَ قَوْمُهُ يَضْرِبُونَهُ حَتَّى يُصْرَعَ قَالَ فَيَمْسَحُ جَبْهَتَهُ وَيَقُولُ اللهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِقَوْمِي إِنَّهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ

“It is as if I can see the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, telling us the story of one of the Prophets: ‘His people beat him, and he was wiping the blood from his face and saying: “O Lord forgive my people, for they do not know.’”  

ابن ماجة:٤٠٢٥ – حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ عَنْ شَقِيقٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ

كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ يَحْكِي نَبِيًّا مِنَ الأَنْبِيَاءِ ضَرَبَهُ قَوْمُهُ وَهُوَ يَمْسَحُ الدَّمَ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ وَيَقُولُ رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِقَوْمِي فَإِنَّهُمْ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ
