The Prophet ﷺ said: He who begs (from people) when he is affluent will come on the Day of Resurrection with scrapes, scratchings, or lacerations on his face. He was asked: What constitutes affluence, Messenger of Allah? He replied:It is fifty dirhams or its value in gold. The narrator Yahya said: Abdullah ibn Sufyan said to Sufyan: I remember that Shu'bah does not narrate from Hakim ibn Jubayr. Sufyan said: Zubayr transmitted to us this tradition from Muhammad ibn AbdurRahman ibn Yazid.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ سَأَلَ وَلَهُ مَا يُغْنِيهِ جَاءَتْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ خُمُوشٌ أَوْ خُدُوشٌ أَوْ كُدُوحٌ فِي وَجْهِهِ فَقِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا الْغِنَى قَالَ خَمْسُونَ دِرْهَمًا أَوْ قِيمَتُهَا مِنَ الذَّهَبِ قَالَ يَحْيَى فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ لِسُفْيَانَ حِفْظِي أَنَّ شُعْبَةَ لاَ يَرْوِي عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ فَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ فَقَدْ حَدَّثَنَاهُ زُبَيْدٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ

the Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever begs from the people while he has what he needs, he will come on the Day of Judgment and his begging with be scratches or lacerations, or bite marks on his face." They said: "O Messenger of Allah! 'How much is it that one needs?' He said: 'Fifty Dirham, or their value in gold.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ سَأَلَ النَّاسَ وَلَهُ مَا يُغْنِيهِ جَاءَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَسْأَلَتُهُ فِي وَجْهِهِ خُمُوشٌ أَوْ خُدُوشٌ أَوْ كُدُوحٌ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا يُغْنِيهِ قَالَ خَمْسُونَ دِرْهَمًا أَوْ قِيمَتُهَا مِنَ الذَّهَبِ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever asks when he has enough to make him independent of means will have lacerations on his face on the Day of Resurrection.' It was said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what would make him independent of means?' He said: 'Fifty Dirhams or its equivalent of gold."'

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ سَأَلَ وَلَهُ مَا يُغْنِيهِ جَاءَتْ خُمُوشًا أَوْ كُدُوحًا فِي وَجْهِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَاذَا يُغْنِيهِ أَوْ مَاذَا أَغْنَاهُ قَالَ خَمْسُونَ دِرْهَمًا أَوْ حِسَابُهَا مِنَ الذَّهَبِ قَالَ يَحْيَى قَالَ سُفْيَانُ وَسَمِعْتُ زُبَيْدًا يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ

the Messenger of Allah said: “Whoever begs when he has enough to suffice him, his begging will come on the Day of Resurrection like lacerations on his face. ” It was said: “O Messenger of Allah, what is sufficient for him?” He said: “Fifty Dirham or their value in gold.”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ سَأَلَ وَلَهُ مَا يُغْنِيهِ جَاءَتْ مَسْأَلَتُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ خُدُوشًا أَوْ خُمُوشًا أَوْ كُدُوحًا فِي وَجْهِهِ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا يُغْنِيهِ قَالَ خَمْسُونَ دِرْهَمًا أَوْ قِيمَتُهَا مِنَ الذَّهَبِ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ لِسُفْيَانَ إِنَّ شُعْبَةَ لاَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ فَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ قَدْ حَدَّثَنَاهُ زُبَيْدٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever asks about the wealth of others will come on the Day of Judgment with marks of blackness, bruises, or scratches on his face." It was asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what is wealth?" He said, "Fifty dirhams or its equivalent in gold."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ سَأَلَ عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًى جَاءَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَفِي وَجْهِهِ خُمُوشٌ أَوْ كُدُوحٌ أَوْ خُدُوشٌ» قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا الْغِنَى؟ قَالَ «خَمْسُونَ دِرْهَمًا أَوْ قِيمَتُهَا مِنَ الذَّهَبِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever asks for something, and he has enough that would suffice him, on the Day of Resurrection, wounds or bruises will appear on his face. They will say, 'O Messenger of Allah, what is it that would suffice him?' He will reply, 'Fifty Dirhams or their equivalent in gold.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ سَأَلَ وَلَهُ مَايُغْنِيهِ جَاءَتْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ خُدُوشًا أَوْ كُدُوشًا فِي وَجْهِهِ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَمَا غِنَاهُ؟ قَالَ خَمْسُونَ دِرْهَمًا أَوْ حِسَابُهَا مِنَ الذَّهَبِ

[AI] "He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Whoever asks for something while being wealthy, it will come on the Day of Judgment as a blister on his face, and charity is not permissible for someone who has fifty dirhams or its equivalent in gold."

أَنَّهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ سَأَلَ مَسْأَلَةً وَهُوَ عَنْهَا غَنِيٌّ جَاءَتْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كُدُوحًا فِي وَجْهِهِ وَلَا تَحِلُّ الصَّدَقَةُ لِمَنْ لَهُ خَمْسُونَ دِرْهَمًا أَوْ عِوَضُهَا مِنَ الذَّهَبِ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ سَأَلَ وَلَهُ مَا يُغْنِيهِ جَاءَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ خُمُوشٌ أَوْ خُدُوشٌ أَوْ كُدُوحٌ فِي وَجْهِهِ» فَقِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا الْغِنَى؟ قَالَ «خَمْسُونَ دِرْهَمًا أَوْ قِيمَتُهَا مِنَ الذَّهَبِ» قَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ لِسُفْيَانَ حِفْظِي أَنَّ شُعْبَةَ كَانَ لَا يَرْوِي عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ فَقَدْ حَدَّثَنَا زُبَيْدٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever asks for something while being rich, it will come to him on the Day of Judgment like a scorching blaze on his face."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مِنْ سَأَلَ مَسْأَلَةً وَهُوَ عَنْهَا غَنِيٌّ جَاءَتْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كُدُوحًا فِي وَجْهِهِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever asks for something they are already wealthy with, it will come as a scorching coal on the Day of Judgment against their face."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مِنْ سَأَلَ مَسْأَلَةً وَهُوَ عَنْهَا غَنِيٌّ جَاءَتْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كُدُوحًا فِي وَجْهِهِ»

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever asks for something while he has what is sufficient for him, will come on the Day of Judgment with blisters or bruises on his face." It was said, "O Messenger of Allah, what is sufficient for him or what is his sufficiency?" He said, "Fifty silver coins or an equivalent amount in gold." Yahya said, Sufyan told me, and I heard Zubaid narrating it from Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman bin Yazid. Abu Abdul Rahman said, "We do not know anyone who narrated this hadith except Zubaid, other than Yahya bin Adam. And we only know this hadith from the narration of Hakim bin Jubair, and Hakim is weak. Shu'bah was asked about the hadith of Hakim, and he said, 'I fear the Fire.' And he was reported from long ago."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ سَأَلَ وَلَهُ مَا يُغْنِيهِ جَاءَتْ خُمُوشًا أَوْ كُدُوحًا فِي وَجْهِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ» قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَمَاذَا يُغْنِيهِ أَوْ مَاذَا غَنَاؤُهُ؟ قَالَ «خَمْسُونَ دِرْهَمًا أَوْ حِسَابُهَا مِنَ الذَّهَبِ» قَالَ يَحْيَى قَالَ سُفْيَانُ وَسَمِعْتُ زُبَيْدًا يُحَدِّثُهُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ لَا نَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا قَالَ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ زُبَيْدٌ غَيْرَ يَحْيَى بْنِ آدَمَ وَلَا نَعْرِفُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيثِ حَكِيمِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ وَحَكِيمٌ ضَعِيفٌ وَسُئِلَ شُعْبَةُ عَنْ حَدِيثِ حَكِيمٍ فَقَالَ أَخَافُ النَّارَ وَقَدْ كَانَ رَوَى عَنْهُ قَدِيمًا

"مَنْ سَأَلَ النَّاسَ وَلَهُ مَا يُغْنِيهِ جَاءَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَسْأَلَتُهُ في وجْهِهِ خُمُوشٌ (أَوْ خُدُوشٌ) أَوْ كُدُوح، قيل: يا رسول الله: وما الغِنَى؟ قال: خمسون دِرْهَمًا أَو قيمتُها من الذَّهَبِ".

"مَنْ سَأَلَ مَسْأَلَةً وَهُوَ عَنهَا غَنِيٌّ، جَاءَتْ يومَ الْقِيَامَةِ كُدُوحًا في وجهه وَلَا تَحِلُّ الصَّدَقَةُ لِمَنْ لَهُ خَمْسُونَ دِرْهَمًا أَوْ عِوَضُهَا من الذَّهَبِ".
