[Machine] I used to untangle the necklaces of the gifts of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he would not need a woman until the need of the traveler is fulfilled.  

أحمد:٢٤٧١٠حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

كُنْتُ أَفْتِلُ قَلَائِدَ هَدْيِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَمَا يَدَعُ حَاجَةً لَهُ إِلَى امْرَأَةٍ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ الْحَاجُّ  

ahmad:24711Bih Ḥasan b. Mūsá

[Machine] And he does not neglect a need if he has one for a woman until the need is fulfilled.

وَمَا يَدَعُ حَاجَةً إِنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ إِلَى امْرَأَةٍ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ الْحَاجُّ

that the Messenger of Allah said: 'Breast-feeding makes unlawful (for marriages) the same things that blood tie make unlawful.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 1937)   

أحمد:٢٤٧١٢حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ يَحْيَى قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ قَالَتْ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَحْرُمُ مِنَ الرَّضَاعِ مَا يَحْرُمُ مِنَ النَّسَبِ مِنْ خَالٍ أَوْ عَمٍّ أَوْ ابْنِ أَخٍ

[Machine] It was said, "O Messenger of Allah, so-and-so has passed away and has found rest." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ became angry and said, "Indeed, only the one forgiven finds rest."  

أحمد:٢٤٧١٣حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَاتَتْ فُلَانَةُ وَاسْتَرَاحَتْ فَغَضِبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَقَالَ إِنَّمَا يَسْتَرِيحُ مَنْغُفِرَ لَهُ  

ahmad:24714Sakan b. Nāfiʿ > Ṣāliḥ b. Abū al-Akhḍar > al-Zuhrī > Abū Salamah b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman > ʿĀʾishah

"If the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wanted to sleep while he was Junub, he would perform Wudu', and if he wanted to eat or drink," she said: "he would wash his hands and then eat or drink." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 257)   

أحمد:٢٤٧١٤حَدَّثَنَا سَكَنُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا صَالِحُ بْنُ أَبِي الْأَخْضَرِ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ أَوْ يَشْرَبَ غَسَلَ كَفَّيْهِ ثُمَّ يَأْكُلُ أَوْ يَشْرَبُ إِنْ شَاءَ

[Machine] The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to pray thirteen prostrations during the night, and he would mostly pray standing. But as he grew older and became heavier, he would pray mostly sitting. He would pray his prayer while I was lying in front of him on the bed on which he slept, until he wanted to make the Witr prayer. He would then gesture to me, and I would stand up and make the Witr prayer. After that, he would lie down until he would hear the call to prayer, then he would stand and make two quick prostrations, and then he would press his side against the ground before going out to pray.  

أحمد:٢٤٧١٥حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ سَجْدَةً وَكَانَ أَكْثَرَ صَلَاتِهِ قَائِمًا فَلَمَّا كَبُرَ وَثَقُلَ كَانَ أَكْثَرَ صَلَاتِهِ قَاعِدًا وَكَانَ يُصَلِّي صَلَاتَهُ وَأَنَا مُعْتَرِضَةٌ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ عَلَى الْفِرَاشِ الَّذِي يَرْقُدُ عَلَيْهِ حَتَّى يُرِيدَ أَنْ يُوتِرَ فَيَغْمِزُنِي فَأَقُومُ فَيُوتِرُ ثُمَّ يَضْطَجِعُ حَتَّى يَسْمَعَ النِّدَاءَ بِالصَّلَاةِ ثُمَّ يَقُومُفَيَسْجُدُ سَجْدَتَيْنِ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ يُلْصِقُ جَنْبَهُ الْأَرْضَ ثُمَّ يَخْرُجُ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "On the Day of Judgment, no one will be held accountable and forgiven except that the Muslim sees his deeds in his grave and Allah ﷻ says, 'On that day, no one shall be asked about his sins, neither human nor jinn.' [Surah Ar-Rahman: 39] 'The criminals will be recognized by their appearance.' [Surah Ar-Rahman: 41]"  

أحمد:٢٤٧١٦حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يُحَاسَبُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَحَدٌ فَيُغْفَرَ لَهُ يَرَى الْمُسْلِمُ عَمَلَهُ فِي قَبْرِهِ وَيَقُولُ اللهُ ﷻ {فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَا يُسْأَلُ عَنْ ذَنْبِهِ إِنْسٌ وَلَا جَانٌّ} [الرحمن 39] {يُعْرَفُ الْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَاهُمْ} [الرحمن 41]

"When the Messenger of Allah wanted to sleep and he was sexually impure, he would perform ablution as for prayer." (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 584)   

أحمد:٢٤٧١٧حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَنَامُ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ

[Machine] "I placed a screen on the door of my house which had images on it. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to enter, he looked at it and tore it. I then took it and cut out two patches from it, which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ fixed."  

أحمد:٢٤٧١٨حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بُكَيْرٌ عَنْ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

جَعَلْتُ عَلَى بَابِ بَيْتِي سِتْرًا فِيهِ تَصَاوِيرُ فَلَمَّا أَقْبَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِيَدْخُلَ نَظَرَ إِلَيْهِ فَهَتَكَهُ قَالَتْ فَأَخَذْتُهُ فَقَطَعْتُ مِنْهُ نُمْرُقَتَيْنِ فَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَرْتَفِقُهُمَا  

ahmad:24719Abū Saʿīd > Abū ʿAwānah > ʿUmar from his father

[Machine] I asked Aisha, "Did you used to bathe with the Prophet ﷺ?" She said, "Yes, I used to bathe with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ from a single vessel."  

أحمد:٢٤٧١٩حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ أَكُنْتِ تَغْتَسِلِينَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ؟ قَالَتْ نَعَمْ كُنْتُ أَغْتَسِلُ أَنَا وَرَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ

[Machine] "I was slandered with what I was slandered with, while I was unaware. After that, the revelation confirmed the innocence of that. While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was with me, he received revelation, and whenever he received revelation, he would experience something similar to a trance. While he was sitting with me, the revelation was sent down to him, and he lifted his head while wiping his forehead. He said, 'Rejoice, O Aisha!' I said, 'With the praise of Allah, not with your praise.' Then he recited the verses: 'Those who throw accusations at chaste women' (Quran 24:23) until 'innocent of what they say, free from sin' (Quran 24:26)."  

أحمد:٢٤٧٢٠حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

رُمِيتُ بِمَا رُمِيتُ بِهِ وَأَنَا غَافِلَةٌ فَبَلَغَنِي بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ رَضْخٌ مِنْ ذَلِكَ فَبَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عِنْدِي إِذْ أُوحِيَ إِلَيْهِ وَكَانَ إِذَا أُوحِيَ إِلَيْهِ يَأْخُذُهُ شِبْهُ السُّبَاتِ فَبَيْنَمَا هُوَ جَالِسٌ عِنْدِي إِذْ أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ الْوَحْيُ فَرَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ وَهُوَ يَمْسَحُ عَنْ جَبِينِهِ فَقَالَ أَبْشِرِي يَا عَائِشَةُ فَقُلْتُ بِحَمْدِ اللهِ ﷻ لَا بِحَمْدِكَ فَقَرَأَ {الَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ الْمُحْصَنَاتِ} [النور 23] حَتَّى بَلَغَ {مُبَرَّؤُونَ مِمَّا يَقُولُونَ} [النور 26]

[Machine] To the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , I wanted to mention something to you that you have no say in until you consult your parents. I asked, "What is it?" He recited the verse of choice, so I said, "Rather, I choose Allah and His Messenger." The Prophet, ﷺ , was pleased with that.  

أحمد:٢٤٧٢١حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ عُمَرَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ لَمَّا أُنْزِلَ الْخِيَارُ قَالَ

لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَذْكُرَ لَكِ أَمْرًا لَا تَقْضِينَ فِيهِ شَيْئًا حَتَّى تَسْتَأْمِرِي أَبَوَيْكِ قُلْتُ مَا هُوَ؟ قَالَ فَقَرَأَ آيَةَ الْخِيَارِ فَقُلْتُ بَلْ أَخْتَارُ اللهَ ﷻ وَرَسُولَهُ ﷺ فَفَرِحَ بِذَلِكَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allegiance belongs to those who have been freed."  

أحمد:٢٤٧٢٢حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الْوَلَاءُ لِمَنْ أَعْتَقَ  

ahmad:24723Abū Saʿīd And ʿAbd al-Ṣamad > Thābit Abū Zayd > ʿĀṣim > Muʿādhah > Abū Saʿīdʾin ʿĀʾishah Ḥaddathathā

[Machine] I used to perform ablution with the Prophet ﷺ from the same vessel, and I would hasten and say, "Leave some for me, leave some for me."  

أحمد:٢٤٧٢٣حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ وَعَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ أَبُو زَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمٌ عَنْ مُعَاذَةَ قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍإِنَّ عَائِشَةَ حَدَّثَتْهَا قَالَتْ

كُنْتُ أَغْتَسِلُ أَنَا وَالنَّبِيُّ ﷺ مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ فَأُبَادِرُهُ وَأَقُولُ دَعْ لِي دَعْ لِي  

ahmad:24724Abū Saʿīd > ʿAbdullāh b. Jaʿfar And al-Khuzāʿī > ʿAbdullāh b. Jaʿfar > Um Bakr b. al-Miswar > al-Khuzāʿī > Um Bakr b. al-Miswar

[Machine] Who sent this? I said it was Abdur Rahman. She said, "Indeed, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, and Al-Khuzaiyya said, 'Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'None of you will have a special place in my heart after me except the patient ones.' Allah has quenched the thirst of Abdur Rahman ibn Awf from the Salasabil of Paradise."  

أحمد:٢٤٧٢٤حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ وَالْخُزَاعِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنَا أُمُّ بَكْرٍ بِنْتُ الْمِسْوَرِ قَالَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ عَنْ أُمِّ بَكْرٍ بِنْتِ الْمِسْوَرِ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ بَاعَ أَرْضًا لَهُ مِنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ بِأَرْبَعِينَ أَلْفَ دِينَارٍ فَقَسَمَهُ فِي فُقَرَاءِ بَنِي زُهْرَةَ وَفِي الْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَأُمَّهَاتِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ قَالَ الْمِسْوَرُ فَأَتَيْتُ عَائِشَةَ بِنَصِيبِهَا فَقَالَتْ

مَنْ أَرْسَلَ بِهَذَا؟ فَقُلْتُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَتْ أَمَا إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ وَقَالَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يَحْنُو عَلَيْكُنَّ بَعْدِي إِلَّا الصَّابِرُونَ سَقَى الله عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ مِنْ سَلْسَبِيلِ الْجَنَّةِ  

ahmad:24725Abū Saʿīd > ʿAbdullāh b. Jaʿfar > Yazīd b. ʿAbdullāh > Abū Bakr b. Ḥazm > ʿĀʾishah

“Do not cut off (the thief's hand) except for something worth one quarter of a Dinar or more (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 2585)  

أحمد:٢٤٧٢٥حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ حَزْمٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تُقْطَعُ الْيَدُ إِلَّا فِي رُبُعِ دِينَارٍ فَصَاعِدًا

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ mentioned him like himself, equal.  

أحمد:٢٤٧٢٦حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الله بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الله عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ حَزْمٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ قَالَ

رَسُولُ الله ﷺ فَذَكَرَهُ مِثْلَهُ سَوَاءً  

ahmad:24727Abū Salamah al-Khuzāʿī > Mālik > Muḥammad b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Nawfal > ʿUrwah > ʿĀʾishah

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ entered Mecca with his hair disheveled from performing the Hajj.  

أحمد:٢٤٧٢٧حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ دَخَلَ مُهِلًّا بِالْحَجِّ  

ahmad:24728Abū Salamah al-Khuzāʿī > Mālik > Ibn Shihāb > ʿUrwah > ʿĀʾishah

“Whenever the Prophet ﷺ fell ill, he would recite the Mu’awwidhat and blow, and when his pain grew worse, I would recite over him and wipe his hand over him, hoping for its blessing.” (Using translation from Ibn Mājah 3529)   

أحمد:٢٤٧٢٨حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ الْمُعَوِّذَاتِ وَيَنْفُثُ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ فَلَمَّا اشْتَكَى ﷺ جَعَلْتُ أَقْرَأُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَمْسَحُهُ بِكَفِّهِ رَجَاءَ بَرَكَةِ يَدِهِ

The Messenger of Allah (SWAS) performed Hajj exclusively (without performing ʿUmrah in the beginning). (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1777)  

أحمد:٢٤٧٢٩حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْقَاسِمِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَفْرَدَ الْحَجَّ  

ahmad:24730Abū Salamah > Mālik > Yazīd b. ʿAbdullāh b. Qusayṭ > Muḥammad b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Thawbān from his mother > ʿĀʾishah

The Prophet ﷺ ordered that the skins of the animals which had died a natural death should be used when they are tanned. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 4124)   

أحمد:٢٤٧٣٠حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ قُسَيْطٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ ثَوْبَانَ عَنْ أُمِّهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَمَرَ أَنْ يُسْتَمْتَعَ بِجُلُودِ الْمَيْتَةِ إِذَا دُبِغَتْ

[Machine] I used to supply the Prophet ﷺ with provisions while he was in seclusion, and he would only enter the house for a person's need.  

أحمد:٢٤٧٣١حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

كُنْتُ أُرَجِّلُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَهُوَ مُعْتَكِفٌ وَكَانَلَا يَدْخُلُ الْبَيْتَ إِلَّا لِحَاجَةِ الْإِنْسَانِ

[Machine] I asked Aisha and said, "How did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ pray in Ramadan?" She said, "His prayers in Ramadan and other than Ramadan were the same. He used to pray eleven rak'ahs. He would pray four rak'ahs, so do not ask about their beauty or length. Then he would pray four rak'ahs, so do not ask about their beauty or length. Then he would pray three rak'ahs." I said, "O Messenger of Allah, do you sleep before performing witr?" He said, "Indeed, my eyes sleep but my heart does not sleep."  

أحمد:٢٤٧٣٢حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ

سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ فَقُلْتُ كَيْفَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي فِي رَمَضَانَ؟ قَالَتْ كَانَتْ صَلَاتُهُ فِي رَمَضَانَ وَغَيْرِ رَمَضَانَ وَاحِدَةً كَانَ يُصَلِّي إِحْدَى عَشْرَةَ رَكْعَةً أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ فَلَا تَسْأَلْ عَنْ حُسْنِهِنَّ وَطُولِهِنَّ ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ فَلَاتَسْأَلْ عَنْ حُسْنِهِنَّ وَطُولِهِنَّ ثُمَّ يُصَلِّي ثَلَاثَ رَكَعَاتٍ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ تَنَامُ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُوتِرَ؟ فَقَالَ إِنَّ عَيْنَيَّ تَنَامَانِ وَقَلْبِي لَا يَنَامُ

[Machine] "If you had seen the Prophet of Allah, ﷺ , on a certain day when he was sick, and I had six dinars with me, Moses said, or seven? I said, no, by Allah, your pain had preoccupied me. Then Prophet of Allah, ﷺ , asked me about it and said, what happened to the six? or the seven? I said, no, by Allah, your pain had preoccupied me. Then he called for it, took it in his hand, and said, what do you think the Prophet of Allah, ﷺ , would do if he met Allah and had this with him?"  

أحمد:٢٤٧٣٣حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُضَرَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلٍ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَعُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ يَوْمًا عَلَى عَائِشَةَ فَقَالَتْ

لَوْ رَأَيْتُمَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ ﷺ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ فِي مَرَضٍ مَرِضَهُ قَالَتْ وَكَانَ لَهُ عِنْدِي سِتَّةُ دَنَانِيرَ قَالَ مُوسَى أَوْ سَبْعَةٌ قَالَتْ فَأَمَرَنِي نَبِيُّ اللهِ أَنْ أُفَرِّقَهَا قَالَتْ فَشَغَلَنِي وَجَعُ نَبِيِّ اللهِ ﷺ حَتَّى عَافَاهُ اللهُ قَالَتْ ثُمَّ سَأَلَنِي عَنْهَا فَقَالَ مَا فَعَلَتِ السِّتَّةُ؟ قَالَ أَوِ السَّبْعَةُ؟ قُلْتُ لَا وَاللهِ لَقَدْ كَانَ شَغَلَنِي وَجَعُكَ قَالَتْ فَدَعَا بِهَا ثُمَّ صَفَّهَا فِي كَفِّهِ فَقَالَ مَا ظَنُّ نَبِيِّ اللهِ لَوْ لَقِيَ اللهَ ﷻ وَهَذِهِ عِنْدَهُ

the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O ʿĀʾishah, show tenderness, for when Allah wills good for family, he leads them to the door of tenderness ˹toward each other˺".  

أحمد:٢٤٧٣٤حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ قَالَ؛ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ بِلَالٍ؛ عَنْ شَرِيكٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي نَمِرٍ؛ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ؛ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَهَا: «يَا عَائِشَةُ، ارْفُقِي فَإِنَّ اللهَ إِذَا أَرَادَ بِأَهْلِ بَيْتٍ خَيْرًا دَلَّهُمْ عَلَى بَابِ الرِّفْقِ.»

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said about the fruit of the ajwa tree, "Eating it on an empty stomach in the morning is a cure for every magic or poison."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ فِي عَجْوَةِ الْعَالِيَةِ أَوَّلَ الْبُكْرَةِ عَلَى رِيقِ النَّفْسِ شِفَاءٌ مِنْ كُلِّ سِحْرٍ أَوْ سُمٍّ

[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was brought a lizard, but he did not eat it nor did he forbid it. I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, shall we not feed it to the poor?' He said, 'Do not feed them from what you do not eat.'"  

أحمد:٢٤٧٣٦حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ حَمَّادٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِضَبٍّ فَلَمْ يَأْكُلْهُ وَلَمْ يَنْهَ عَنْهُ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَفَلَا نُطْعِمُهُ الْمَسَاكِينَ؟ قَالَ لَا تُطْعِمُوهُمْ مِمَّا لَا تَأْكُلُونَ

[Machine] "That the Prophet ﷺ said regarding the Ajwah (dates) from Al-Aliyah, it is a remedy or indeed it is a tonic in the morning."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ فِي الْعَجْوَةِ الْعَالِيَةِ شِفَاءٌ أَوْ إِنَّهَا تِرْيَاقٌ أَوَّلَ الْبُكْرَةِ

[Machine] While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was sleeping, he laughed in his dream and then woke up, so I said, "O Messenger of Allah, why did you laugh?" He said, "Indeed, some people from my nation will migrate to this house for the sake of a man from Quraysh who sought asylum in the Sacred Mosque. When they reach the plain, the earth will swallow them up from various locations, and Allah will resurrect them according to their intentions." I said, "How will Allah resurrect them according to their intentions when they were swallowed up by the earth from various locations?" He said, "The road will gather them, including the one who falsely sensed the road and the one who was traveling, and the compelled one will perish with a single destruction, and they will emerge from various sources."  

أحمد:٢٤٧٣٨حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْحُدَّانِيُّقَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ زِيَادٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ يَقُولُ حَدَّثَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ أُمُّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ قَالَتْ

بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ نَائِمٌ إِذْ ضَحِكَ فِي مَنَامِهِ ثُمَّ اسْتَيْقَظَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مِمَّ ضَحِكْتَ؟ قَالَ إِنَّ أُنَاسًا مِنْ أُمَّتِي يَؤُمُّونَ هَذَا الْبَيْتَ لِرَجُلٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ قَدْ اسْتَعَاذَ بِالْحَرَمِ فَلَمَّا بَلَغُوا الْبَيْدَاءَ خُسِفَ بِهِمْ مَصَادِرُهُمْ شَتَّى يَبْعَثُهُمُ اللهُ عَلَى نِيَّاتِهِمْ قُلْتُ وَكَيْفَ يَبْعَثُهُمُ اللهُ ﷻ عَلَى نِيَّاتِهِمْ وَمَصَادِرُهُمْ شَتَّى؟ قَالَ جَمَعَهُمُ الطَّرِيقُ مِنْهُمُ الْمُسْتَبْصِرُ وَابْنُ السَّبِيلِ وَالْمَجْبُورُ يَهْلِكُونَ مَهْلِكًا وَاحِدًا وَيَصْدُرُونَ مَصَادِرَ شَتَّى

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Breaking a dead man's bone is like breaking it when he is alive. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3207)  

أحمد:٢٤٧٣٩حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي الرِّجَالِ مِنْ بَنِي النَّجَّارِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الرِّجَالِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ كَسْرُ عَظْمِ الْمَيِّتِ كَكَسْرِهِ حَيًّا

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "A house in which there is no date is like a house in which there is no food."  

أحمد:٢٤٧٤٠حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ بَيْتٌ لَيْسَ فِيهِ تَمْرٌ كَأَنَّ لَيْسَفِيهِ طَعَامٌ

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ prohibited urinating in a well, which is a water source.  

أحمد:٢٤٧٤١حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي الرِّجَالِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ نَقْعِ الْبِئْرِ وَهُوَ الرَّهْوُ

[Machine] A woman came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "By my father and mother, I and my son have bought some produce from so-and-so, and we went to receive it. We did not take from its fruits anything but what we ate or gave in charity to the poor, hoping for blessings. He swore an oath that he would not do that." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "He should not have done that." Then the man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, if you wish, you may have all the fruits, or if you wish, you may take what they have taken."  

أحمد:٢٤٧٤٢حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الرِّجَالِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

جَاءَتْ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ بِأَبِي وَأُمِّي ابْتَعْتُ أَنَا وَابْنِي مِنْ فُلَانٍ ثَمَرَةَ أَرْضِهِ فَأَتَيْنَاهُ نَسْتَوْضِعُهُ وَاللهِ مَا أَصَبْنَا مِنْ ثَمَرِهِ شَيْئًا إِلَّا شَيْئًا أَكَلْنَا فِي بُطُونِنَا أَوْ نُطْعِمُهُ مِسْكِينًا رَجَاءَ الْبَرَكَةِ فَحَلَفَ أَنْ لَا يَفْعَلَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ تَأَلَّى أَنْ لَا يَفْعَلَ خَيْرًا تَأَلَّى أَنْ لَا يَفْعَلَ خَيْرًا تَأَلَّى أَنْ لَا يَفْعَلَ خَيْرًا فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ الرَّجُلَ فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺفَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنْ شِئْتَ الثَّمَرَ كُلَّهُ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ مَا وَضَعُوا فَوَضَعَ عَنْهُمْ مَا وَضَعُوا

[Machine] Indeed, the Prophet ﷺ swore not to have any contact with his wives for a month. But when the twenty-ninth day of the month arrived, he intended to enter (their quarters). I said to him, "Didn't you swear to stay away for a month?" He replied, "Indeed, the month consists of twenty-nine days."  

أحمد:٢٤٧٤٣حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الرِّجَالِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ حَلَفَ أَنْ لَا يَدْخُلَ عَلَى نِسَائِهِ شَهْرًا فَلَمَّا كَانَ تِسْعَةٌ وَعِشْرُونَ مِنَ الشَّهْرِ جَاءَ لِيَدْخُلَ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ أَلَمْ تَحْلِفْ شَهْرًا؟ فَقَالَ إِنَّ الشَّهْرَ تِسْعَةٌ وَعِشْرُونَ

the Messenger of Allah forbade selling fruits until their condition is known. (Using translation from Nasāʾī 4520)   

أحمد:٢٤٧٤٤حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ الثِّمَارِ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا وَتَأْمَنَ مِنَ الْعَاهَةِ  

ahmad:24745Abū Saʿīd > ʿUthmān b. ʿAbd al-Malik Abū Qudāmah al-ʿUmarī > ʿĀʾishah b. Saʿd > Um Dharrah > Raʾayt ʿĀʾishah Tuṣallī al-Ḍuḥá

[Machine] "I saw Aisha praying the Dhuha prayer and saying, 'I have never seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying except four units of prayer.'"  

أحمد:٢٤٧٤٥حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ أَبُو قُدَامَةَ الْعُمَرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنَا عَائِشَةُ بِنْتُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أُمِّ ذَرَّةَ قَالَتْ

رَأَيْتُ عَائِشَةَ تُصَلِّي الضُّحَى وَتَقُولُ مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي إِلَّا أَرْبَعَ رَكَعَاتٍ  

ahmad:24746Abū Saʿīd > Zāʾidah > Ashʿath b. Abū al-Shaʿthāʾ al-Muḥāribī from his father > Masrūq > ʿĀʾishah

I asked Messenger of Allah ﷺ about looking hither and thither in prayer. He replied, "It is a way of stealing by which Satan takes away (a portion) from the prayer of a person." (Using translation from Bukhārī 751)  

أحمد:٢٤٧٤٦حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَشْعَثُ بْنُ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ الْمُحَارِبِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنِ الِالْتِفَاتِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ اخْتِلَاسٌ يَخْتَلِسُهُ الشَّيْطَانُ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْعَبْدِ  

ahmad:24747Abū Saʿīd > Zāʾidah > al-Suddī > ʿAbdullāh al-Bahī > ʿĀʾishah

[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was in the mosque and he said to the young girl, 'Bring me the cushion.' She said, 'He wants to spread it out and pray on it.' She said, 'But she is menstruating.' He said, 'Her menstruation is not in her control.'"  

أحمد:٢٤٧٤٧حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا السُّدِّيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْبَهِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَالَ لِلْجَارِيَةِ نَاوِلِينِي الْخُمْرَةَ قَالَتْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَبْسُطَهَا فَيُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهَا قَالَتْ إِنَّهَا حَائِضٌ قَالَ إِنَّ حَيْضَهَا لَيْسَ فِي يَدِهَا

"The Messenger of Allah used to be keen to fast on Mondays and Thursday." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2361)  

أحمد:٢٤٧٤٨حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ ثَوْرٍ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَتَحَرَّى صَوْمَ يَوْمِ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسِ  

ahmad:24749Muʾammal > Sufyān > Hishām from his father

[Machine] It was said to Aisha, "What did the Prophet ﷺ do in his house?" She replied, "He used to do the same as one of you would do: sew his shoes and patch his clothes."  

أحمد:٢٤٧٤٩حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

قِيلَ لِعَائِشَةَ مَا كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَصْنَعُ فِي بَيْتِهِ؟ قَالَتْ كَمَا يَصْنَعُ أَحَدُكُمْ يَخْصِفُ نَعْلَهُ وَيُرَقِّعُ ثَوْبَهُ  

ahmad:24750Muʾammal > Sufyān > ʿAmr b. Dīnār > Sālim

[Machine] And Aisha said, "I used to perfume the Prophet ﷺ after he stoned the Jamrah before he entered the house." Salim said, "The tradition of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is more deserving that we follow it than the saying of Umar."  

أحمد:٢٤٧٥٠حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ قَالَ سَالِمٌ

وَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ كُنْتُ أُطَيِّبُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ بَعْدَمَا يَرْمِي الْجَمْرَةَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُفِيضَ إِلَى الْبَيْتِ قَالَ سَالِمٌ فَسُنَّةُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَحَقُّ أَنْ نَأْخُذَ بِهَا مِنْ قَوْلِ عُمَرَ

[Machine] When the Prophet's illness, in which he passed away, became severe, he said, "Summon Abu Bakr and his son so that they may write for me, lest Abu Bakr's ambitions are aroused or someone desires something similar." Then he said, "Allah refuses that, and the Muslims twice." And Aisha said, "Allah refuses that, and the Muslims twice." Then he said, "Allah refuses that, and the believers twice, except that my father is there, so let it be my father."  

أحمد:٢٤٧٥١حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

لَمَّا كَانَ وَجَعُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ الَّذِي قُبِضَ فِيهِ قَالَ ادْعُوا لِي أَبَا بَكْرٍ وَابْنَهُ فَلْيَكْتُبْ لِكَيْلَا يَطْمَعَ فِي أَمْرِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ طَامِعٌ وَلَا يَتَمَنَّى مُتَمَنٍّ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَأْبَى اللهُ ذَلِكَ وَالْمُسْلِمُونَ مَرَّتَيْنِ وقَالَ مُؤَمَّلٌ مَرَّةً وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ قَالَتْعَائِشَةُ فَأَبَى اللهُ وَالْمُسْلِمُونَ وقَالَ مُؤَمَّلٌ مَرَّةً وَالْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ أَبِي فَكَانَ أَبِي

[Machine] They complained to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the whispers they were experiencing and they said, "O Messenger of Allah, we find something that if one of us were to fall from the sky, it would be dearer to him than speaking about it." So the Prophet ﷺ said, "That is pure faith."  

أحمد:٢٤٧٥٢حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ خَالِهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

شَكَوْا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مَا يَجِدُونَ مِنَ الْوَسْوَسَةِ وَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّا لَنَجِدُ شَيْئًا لَوْ أَنَّ أَحَدَنَا خَرَّ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ كَانَ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ أَنْ يَتَكَلَّمَ بِهِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ ذَاكَ مَحْضُ الْإِيمَانِ

[Machine] "A scene like a sunset, I asked her, 'What is the matter with you?' She said, 'Uthman does not desire the worldly life nor does he desire women.' Aisha said, 'Then Allah's Messenger ﷺ entered upon me, so I informed him about that.' And Uthman met him, so he said, 'O Uthman, do you believe in what we believe in?' He said, 'Yes, O Messenger of Allah.' He said, 'Then you are an example for us.'"  

أحمد:٢٤٧٥٣حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَعْمَرَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ كَانَتْ امْرَأَةُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ مَظْعُونٍ تَخْتَضِبُ وَتَطَيَّبُ فَتَرَكَتْهُ فَدَخَلَتْ عَلَيَّ فَقُلْتُ لَهَا أَمُشْهِدٌ أَمْ مُغِيبٌ؟ فَقَالَتْ

مُشْهِدٌ كَمُغِيبٍ قُلْتُ لَهَا مَا لَكِ؟ قَالَتْ عُثْمَانُ لَا يُرِيدُ الدُّنْيَا وَلَا يُرِيدُ النِّسَاءَ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُ بِذَلِكَ فَلَقِيَ عُثْمَانَ فَقَالَ يَا عُثْمَانُ أَتُؤْمِنُ بِمَا نُؤْمِنُ بِهِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ فَأُسْوَةٌ مَا لَكَ بِنَا

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said to Uthman, "Do you believe in what we believe in?" He replied, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." The Prophet said, "Then act as we act."  

أحمد:٢٤٧٥٤حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي فَاخِتَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِمِثْلِهِ وَزَادَ فِيهِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لِعُثْمَانَ أَتُؤْمِنُ بِمَا نُؤْمِنُ بِهِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ قَالَ فَاصْنَعْ كَمَانَصْنَعُ  

ahmad:24755ʿAbdullāh b. Yazīd > Sufyān And Dhakar a man Ākhar > Sufyān > Abū Isḥāq > al-Aswad > ʿĀʾishah

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to have sexual relations with his wives at the beginning of the night and then he would sleep without touching water. Then, when he woke up at the end of the night, he would return to his wives and perform ablution.  

أحمد:٢٤٧٥٥حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ وَذَكَرَ رَجُلًا آخَرَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصِيبُ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ مِنْ أَوَّلِ اللَّيْلِ ثُمَّ يَنَامُ وَلَا يَمَسُّ مَاءً فَإِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ عَادَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ وَاغْتَسَلَ

[Machine] I said, "O Messenger of Allah, each of your wives has a nickname except me." He said, "Then you shall be called by the name of your son, Abdullah."  

أحمد:٢٤٧٥٦حَدَّثَنَا مُؤَمَّلٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ كُلُّ نِسَائِكَ لَهَا كُنْيَةٌغَيْرِي قَالَ فَتَكَنَّيْ بِابْنِكِ عَبْدِ اللهِ  

ahmad:24757Isḥāq b. ʿĪsá > Mālik > Abū al-Naḍr > Abū Salamah b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman > ʿĀʾishah

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to fast to such an extent that we thought that he would never break his fast, and he would go without fasting to such an extent that we thought he would never fast. I never saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ fast a complete month except in Ramadan, and I never saw his fast more in any month than in Sha'ban. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 2434)   

أحمد:٢٤٧٥٧حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَصُومُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ لَا يُفْطِرُ وَيُفْطِرُ حَتَّى نَقُولَ لَا يَصُومُ وَمَا اسْتَكْمَلَ صِيَامَ شَهْرٍ قَطُّ إِلَّا رَمَضَانَ وَمَا رَأَيْتُهُ فِي شَهْرٍ قَطُّ أَكْثَرَ صِيَامًا مِنْهُ فِي شَعْبَانَ

, when she was told that Ibn 'Umar said that the deceased is punished due to the weeping of the living for him, 'Aishah said: "May Allah forgive Abu 'Abdur-Rahman; he is not lying, but he has forgotten or made a mistake. The Messenger of Allah passed by a (deceased) Jewish woman for whom people were weeping and he said: 'They are weeping for her and she is being punished."' (Using translation from Nasāʾī 1856)  

أحمد:٢٤٧٥٨حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مَالِكٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَمْرَةَ أَنَّهَا أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ عَائِشَةَ وَذُكِرَ لَهَا أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الْمَيِّتَ لَيُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ الْحَيِّ فَقَالَتْ

عَائِشَةُ يَغْفِرُ اللهُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَكْذِبْ وَلَكِنَّهُ نَسِيَ أَوْ أَخْطَأَ إِنَّمَا مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى يَهُودِيَّةٍ يُبْكَى عَلَيْهَا فَقَالَ إِنَّهُمْ لَيَبْكُونَ عَلَيْهَا وَإِنَّهَا لَتُعَذَّبُ فِي قَبْرِهَا  

ahmad:24759ʿAbd al-Razzāq > Sufyān > al-Aʿmash > Abū al-Ḍuḥá > Masrūq > ʿĀʾishah

Masruq reported on the authority of 'A'isha that she said that the Messenger Of Allah ﷺ used to observe the Witr prayer every night, maybe in the early part of night, at midnight and in the latter part, finishing his Witr at dawn. (Using translation from Muslim 745b)

مِنْ كُلِّ اللَّيْلِ قَدْ أَوْتَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ أَوَّلِهِ وَأَوْسَطِهِ وَآخِرِهِ فَانْتَهَى وِتْرُهُ إِلَى السَّحَرِ
