She said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'None of you will be harmed (or hurt) after me except those who are patient and obedient.' May Allah reward my brother Abdur-Rahman bin 'Auf abundantly. He presented to us what will be enough for quite a few days. May Allah bless him with plenty of consecutive (remaining) nights while offering the prayers and praising Allah."

الْمِسْوَرُ فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَى عَائِشَةَ بِنَصِيبِهَا مِنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَتْ مَنْ أَرْسَلَ بِهَذَا؟ قُلْتُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ فَقَالَتْ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يَحِنُّ عَلَيْكُنَّ بَعْدِي إِلَّا الصَّابِرُونَ سَقَى اللهُ ابْنَ عَوْفٍ مِنْ سَلْسَبِيلِ الْجَنَّةِ

[AI] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying to his wives: "Verily, the one who will show compassion towards you after me is the truthful, righteous one. O Allah, grant 'Abdul Rahman ibn 'Awf a drink from the purest stream of Paradise."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لِأَزْوَاجِهِ إِنَّ الَّذِي يَحْنُو عَلَيْكُنَّ بَعْدِي لَهُوَ الصَّادِقُ الْبَارُّ اللهُمَّ اسْقِ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ مِنْ سَلْسَبِيلِ الْجَنَّةِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to his wives: "Verily, the one who will be kind to you after me is the truthful, righteous one. O Allah, quench the thirst of Abdur-Rahman ibn Awf from the pure streams of Paradise."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لِأَزْوَاجِهِ إِنَّ الَّذِي يَحْنُو عَلَيْكُنَّ مِنْ بَعْدِي لَهُوَ الصَّادِقُ الْبَارُّ اللهُمَّ اسْقِ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ مِنْ سَلْسَبِيلِ الْجَنَّةِ

[AI] Abdul Rahman ibn Awf sold a piece of land that he owned for forty thousand dinars. He divided the money among the Banu Zuhrah, the poor Muslims, the immigrants, and the wives of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ . He sent some of that money to Aisha, and she asked, "Who sent this money?" I said, "Abdul Rahman ibn Awf." She then quoted the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and said, "Only the patient ones will succeed you after me. May Allah quench the thirst of Abdul Rahman ibn Awf from the Salsabil fountain in Paradise."

أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ بَاعَ أَرْضًا لَهُ بِأَرْبَعِينَ أَلْفِ دِينَارٍ فَقَسَمَهَا فِي بَنِي زُهْرَةَ وَفُقَرَاءِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَالْمُهَاجِرِينَ وَأَزْوَاجِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَبَعَثَ إِلَى عَائِشَةَ بِمَالٍ مِنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَتْ مَنْ بَعَثَ هَذَا الْمَالَ؟ قُلْتُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ قَالَ وَقَصَّ الْقِصَّةَ قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَا يَحْنُو عَلَيْكُنَّ مِنْ بَعْدِي إِلَّا الصَّابِرُونَ سَقَى اللَّهُ ابْنَ عَوْفٍ مِنْ سَلْسَبِيلِ الْجَنَّةِ»
