[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ attended Saad bin Ubadah and he said, "O Messenger of Allah, if I find another man on my wife's stomach, should I strike him with my sword?" He said, "What evidence do you have that is clearer than the sword?" He said. Then he returned from his statement and said, "The Book of Allah and the martyrs." Saad said, "O Messenger of Allah, what evidence is clearer than the sword?" He said, "The Book of Allah and the martyrs." O Ansar, this is your leader. Jealousy has provoked him until he has gone against the Book of Allah." A man said, "O Messenger of Allah, indeed Saad is jealous and he never divorces a woman because one of us would marry her due to his jealousy." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Saad is jealous, and I am more jealous than him, and Allah is even more jealous than me." A man said, "What does Allah become jealous over?" He said, "Allah becomes jealous over a man who fights in the cause of Allah and then returns to his family."

[Machine] There was a weak, sick, and disheveled man among us, who did not graze the livestock except when he was with a group of their servants from whom he would sneak and steal. Sa'd bin 'Ubada mentioned this to the Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , and that man was a Muslim. The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "Punish him according to the punishment for theft." They said, "O Messenger of Allah, he is weaker than that, and if we were to punish him a hundred times, we would kill him." He said, "Give him a hundred lashes using a whip made of one hundred twigs, and then give him one additional strike." So they did as instructed.
