[Machine] Asmaa, the daughter of Abu Bakr, was asked: "Did any of the predecessors ever faint out of fear?" She replied, "No, but they used to cry."  

الزهد لأحمد:٩٧٨حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ شُجَاعٍ السَّكُونِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا كَعْبٌ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ الْحَلَبِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا فُرَاتٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ قَالَ

سُئِلَتْ أَسْمَاءُ بِنْتُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ هَلْ كَانَ أَحَدٌ مِنَ السَّلَفِ يُغْشَى عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْخَوْفِ؟ قَالَتْ لَا لَكِنْ كَانُوا يَبْكُونَ
