[Machine] I am a witness that when Umar ibn Al-Khattab (may Allah have mercy on him) passed away, he said, "Woe to me! Woe to me! If I am not forgiven!" three times, and then he passed away. There was conversation between him and me.  

الزهد لأحمد:٦٢١حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أبِي حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَاصِمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَفَّانَ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ قَالَ

إِنِّي لَشَاهِدٌ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ حِينَ مَاتَ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ «وَيْلِي وَوَيْلُ أُمِّي إِنْ لَمْ يُغْفَرْ لِي» ثَلَاثًا ثُمَّ قُضِيَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا كَلَامٌ
