الزهد لأحمد:٢٠٥٢ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ قَالَ خَرَجَ عَلْقَمَةُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ وَعَمْرُو بْنُ عُتْبَةَ ومِعْضَدٌ فِي بَعْثِ بَلَنْجَرَ قَالَ فَاشْتَرَى عَمْرُو بْنُ عُتْبَةَ فَرَسًا بِأَرْبَعَةِ آلَافٍ قَالَ فَقَالُوا لَهُ أَغْلَيْتَ قَالَ فَقَالَ «مَا أُحِبُّ

أَنَّ لِي بِكُلِّ حَافِرٍ يَرْفَعُهُ وَيَضَعُهُ دِرْهَمًا دِرْهَمًا»
