[Machine] Luqman said to his son, "O my son, how can you be so eager for what people promise, when they swiftly rush towards what is not promised?"  

الزهد لأحمد:١٨٧٣حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَيَّارٌ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ قَالَ

قَالَ لُقْمَانُ لِابْنِهِ «يَا بُنَيَّ كَيْفَ تَطَاوَلَ عَلَى النَّاسِ مَا يُوعَدُونَ وَهُمْ إِلَى مَا لَا يُوعَدُونَ سِرَاعًا يَذْهَبُونَ؟»
