الزهد لأحمد:١٣٠٦ – حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ قَالَ شَكَا ابْنُ أَخٍ لِلْأَحْنَفِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ إِلَى الْأَحْنَفِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ وَجَعَ ضِرْسِهِ فَقَالَ

لَهُ الْأَحْنَفُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ «لَقَدْ ذَهَبَتْ عَنِّي مُنْذُ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً مَا ذَكَرْتُهَا لِأَحَدٍ»
