There is no loss in salutation and in prayer. Abu Dawud said: According to the version of Ibn Mahdi, this tradition has been narrated by Ibn Fudail as a statement of Abu Hurairah and not as a saying of the Prophet ﷺ  

أبو داود:٩٢٩حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاَءِ أَخْبَرَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ أُرَاهُ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ

لاَ غِرَارَ فِي تَسْلِيمٍ وَلاَ صَلاَةٍ  

قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَرَوَاهُ ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ عَلَى لَفْظِ ابْنِ مَهْدِيٍّ وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ
