[Machine] Ubayy (may Allah have mercy on Abu Abdur-Rahman), knew that it was in the month of Ramadan on the twenty-seventh night, but he preferred not to rely on it.

الطبراني:٩٥٨٦ – حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْبَزَّارُ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الرَّوَّاسُ ثنا حَاتِمُ بْنُ وَرْدَانَ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ زِرٍّ قَالَ قَالَ رَجُلُ لِأُبُيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ إِنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ مَسْعُودٍ يَقُولُ فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ مَنْ يُقِمِ الْحَوْلَ يُصِبْهَا فَقَالَ

أُبَيٌّ «رَحِمَ اللهُ أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ لَقَدْ عَلِمَ أَنَّهَا فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ فِي لَيْلَةِ سَبْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ وَلَكِنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ لَا يَتَّكِلُوا»
