[Machine] A group of people in the time of Muawiya used to witness the dawn prayer and sit near the corner of the congregation. When the prayer was finished, they would turn to the side of the mosque and remember Allah and recite the Book of Allah until the daylight. Muawiya was informed about them, so he came walking or running until he stood in front of them. He said, "I have come to give you glad tidings from Allah about what He has provided for you. Verily, there are some people in the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ whom I think you are similar to in their actions." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ approached us as if he was narrating a story while walking, until he stood in front of us and said, "Rejoice, for by Him in Whose Hand is my soul, indeed Allah boasts to the angels about you."  

أَنَّ نَفَرًا كَانُوا فِي عَهْدِ مُعَاوِيَةَ يَشْهَدُونَ الْفَجْرَ وَيَجْلِسُونَ عِنْدَ قَاصِّ الْجَمَاعَةِ فَإِذَا سَلَّمَ تَحَوَّلُوا إِلَى نَاحِيَةِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَيَذْكُرُونَ اللهَ وَيَتْلُونَ كِتَابَ اللهِ حَتَّى يَتَعَالَى النَّهَارُ فَأُخْبِرَ مُعَاوِيَةُ بِهِمْ فَجَاءَ يُهَرْوِلُ أَوْ يَسْعَى فِي مِشْيَتِهِ حَتَّى وَقَفَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَقَالَ جِئْتُ أُبَشِّرُكُمْ بِبُشْرَى اللهِ فِيمَا رِزْقَكُمْ أَنَّ نَفَرًا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ كَانُوا يَصْنَعُونَ نَحْوًا مِمَّا تَصْنَعُونَ فَأَقْبَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ كَأَنِّي أَحْكِيهِ فِي مِشْيَتِهِ حَتَّى وَقَفَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَقَالَ «أَبْشِرُوا وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنَّ اللهَ ﷻ يُبَاهِي بِكُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةَ»
