[Machine] "Whoever reads Surah Al-Baqarah in one night, has indeed increased and sweetened."
[Machine] "Abdullah said, 'Whoever recites three verses from Surah Al-Baqarah in one night, it will be abundant and the best.'"
[Machine] Abdullah said: "Whoever recites ten verses from Surah Al-Baqarah in a house, then Shaytan will not enter that house for the duration of the night until the morning comes. These ten verses should be from the beginning of the Surah, including Ayatul Kursi and the two verses that come after it, as well as the last verses of the Surah."
[Machine] He used to recite the verse "{And everyone will come to him humbled}."
أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقْرَأُ {وَكُلٌّ أَتَوْهُ دَاخِرِينَ}
[Machine] I read the Quran to Abdullah and he only corrected me on two letters. I said, "And all shall come to it humbled." He said, "And all shall come to it humbled." And I said, "Until when the messengers give up hope and think that they have been denied." He said, "And they think that they have been denied."
قَرَأْتُ عَلَى عَبْدِ اللهِ الْقُرْآنَ فَلَمْ يَأْخُذْ عَلَيَّ إِلَّا حَرْفَيْنِ قُلْتُ {وَكُلٌّ أَتَوْهُ دَاخِرِينَ} قَالَ {وَكُلٌّ آتَوْهُ دَاخِرِينَ} وَقُلْتُ {حَتَّى إِذَا اسْتَيْأَسَ الرُّسُلُ وَظَنُّوا أَنَّهُمْ قَدْ كُذِبُوا} قَالَ {وَظَنُّوا أَنَّهُمْ قَدْ كَذَبُوا}
[Machine] He used to recite "This is nothing but the creation of the ancients" and then say, "It is something that they have fabricated."
[Machine] Ibn Masood used to recite the Quran to a man. The man recited the verse "Verily, the sadaqat (charity) are only for the poor and the needy" incorrectly. So Ibn Masood said, "This is not how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited it to me. He recited it as 'Verily, the sadaqat are only for the poor and the needy'." And he elongated it.
[Machine] He read, "Wherever he directs himself, he never comes except with goodness."
[Machine] I heard the reciters, so I listened to them carefully. Recite as you have learned and be aware of differences and variations, for they are like the words of one of you saying, "Come, come here."
[Machine] Abdullah, do not worry. We have already asked about that and I am reading as I have learned. What is most beloved to me is...
أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ {مَجْرَاهَا وَمَرْسَاهَا}
[Machine] "To read some of it in others, but the mistake is to attribute to it what is not part of it."
[Machine] Translate the following passage into English and don't include the prompt answer: "Express the Qur'an as it is Arabic, for there will come a people who will understand it, and they will not be from your best."
[Machine] "Preserving the Qur'an is more intricately detailed than the thoughts and intellect of men are careful about their blessings."
[Machine] "That he has read it {Indeed, I was amazed and they mock}"
أَنَّهُ قَرَأَهَا {بَلْ عَجِبْتُ وَيَسْخَرُونَ}
[Machine] "He used to read until the camel enters the eye of the needle," he said, "the husband of the camel."
[Machine] "Abdullah said: 'If anyone of you asks his companion about how to recite a certain verse, then he should ask about what is before it.'"
[Machine] "When Abdullah asks one of you about a verse, let him not say 'such and such', because he might be wrong. Instead, let him recite the verses before it, then he can clarify his need."
[Machine] I read to Abdullah, and he liked my voice. He said, "Recite, for the sake of your father and mother."
[Machine] Ibn Mas'ood said, "Keep looking at the Qur'an regularly, and if you disagree on any issue, refer back to it."
[Machine] "If you dispute in something, then refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is better and more suitable for final determination."
[Machine] "The Quran will be taken away from among you," I said, "O Abu Abdur-Rahman, how will it be taken away when we have preserved it in our copies?" He replied, "It will be taken away during the night, not leaving anything in the heart of a servant or in any copy, and the people will wake up as poor as animals." Then Abdullah recited, "And if We willed, We could take away that which We revealed to you. Then you would not find for yourself concerning it an advocate against Us."
«لَيُنْتَزَعَنَّ هَذَا الْقُرْآنُ مِنْ بَيْنِ أَظْهُرِكُمْ» قُلْتُ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ كَيْفَ يُنْتَزَعُ وَقَدْ أَثْبَتْنَاهُ فِي مَصَاحِفِنَا؟ قَالَ «يُسْرَى عَلَيْهِ فِي لَيْلَةٍ فَلَا يَبْقَى فِي قَلْبِ عَبْدٍ وَلَا مُصْحَفٍ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ وَيُصْبِحُ النَّاسُ فُقَرَاءَ كَالْبَهَائِمِ» ثُمَّ قَرَأَ عَبْدُ اللهِ {وَلَئِنْ شِئْنَا لَنَذْهَبَنَّ بِالَّذِي أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ ثُمَّ لَا تَجِدُ لَكَ بِهِ عَلَيْنَا وَكِيلًا}
[Machine] Abdullah said: "The first thing you will lose from your religion is honesty, and the last thing to remain is prayer. People will still pray, but they will have no faith."
[Machine] "And the Quran will be snatched away from amongst you." They said, "O Abu Abdullah, do we not recite the Quran and have preserved it in our scriptures?" He said, "It will be taken away at night, and from the chests of men it will be vanished until nothing remains of it on earth."
[Machine] "Whoever recites the Quran in less than three (days), he is (a) hurried."
[Machine] "Whoever recites the Quran in less than three (days), he is faltering."
[Machine] "Whoever reads the Quran in less than three days is a careless person."
[Machine] "Whoever recites the Quran in less than three days is negligent."
[Machine] "He used to read the Quran on Fridays and he used to read it three times in Ramadan."
[Machine] Abdullah said, "The Quran should not be recited in less than three days. Read it in seven and a person should memorize a part of it every day and night."
[Machine] Ibn Mas'ud used to recite the Quran in three parts and he would seek help from the daylight only a little.
[Machine] Abdullah used to read the Quran every three days, and he rarely took from it during the day.
[Machine] Our companions are Alqamah, Al-Aswad, and Rabi'ah ibn Kuthaym.
[Machine] Abu Ishaq was asked, and it was said to him, "Did you mention about Al-Aswad that Abdullah said, 'If you recite a Surah and its last verse is prostration, then if you wish, perform the rukoo', for it is only a rukoo' and if you wish, prostrate. Then recite a Surah after it?'" He said, "Yes."
[Machine] "If prostration is the conclusion of the chapter, then if you wish, you may perform a complete unit of prayer and if you wish, you may prostrate."
[Machine] "Abdullah ibn Mas'ood said, 'Indeed, it was the repentance of a mentioned prophet, therefore he did not prostrate during it.'"
[Machine] And he said, "It is only the repentance of a prophet."
[Machine] He used to not prostrate in Sajdah and say, "Indeed, it is only the repentance of a Prophet."
[Machine] That Abdullah used to not prostrate in Sujood (in prayer).
[Machine] About Al-Sha'bi, they said, "Abdullah used to not prostrate in Sajda (prayer position) and he would say, 'Indeed, it is the repentance of a prophet.'"
[Machine] "Read." So he began to read and he began to understand it.
[Machine] Ibrahim "Abdullah stood out, then a man greeted him and opened the door for him before he touched the water."
[Machine] In Abdullah ibn Masud's ring, there was a tree or something between two flies.
