Nothing is hidden from You regarding my matter. I am the wretched, the poor, the one seeking help, the one seeking refuge, the fearful, the apprehensive, the submissive, the one who acknowledges his sin. I ask You as a beggar asks for help, and I supplicate to You as a sinner supplicates to the humble. I call upon You as a terrified, helpless one calls. Whose neck has submitted to You, whose eyes have overflowed to You, whose body has grown weak for You, and whose nose has been humiliated for You. O Allah, do not make me miserable with your supplication, and always be merciful to me, O Best of those who are asked, and O Best of those who give.'"

Know that if the nation were to gather together to benefit you with anything, they would not benefit you except with what Allah has already written for you. So, I ate from a piece of bread. I asked, "What is the piece of bread?" He said, "It is thin bread, or drinking milk or wine or water." So I asked, "Why is this interpreted?" He said, "I heard that it is from the Prophet ﷺ who said, 'They used to not leave until the sun had risen, and they would say, 'Let us eat so that we do not delay the prayer.' He said, 'And sometimes I would wake up in the morning and only taste water.'" Ibn Abbas is the one who said this.
