[Machine] It was said to Abdullah, "A man in Makkah greets with two greetings, so how should he respond?" He said, "How should he attach them?"

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قِيلَ لَهُ إِنَّ رَجُلًا بِمَكَّةَ يُسَلِّمُ تَسْلِيمَتَيْنِ فَقَالَ «أَنَّى عَلِقَهَا؟»

[Machine] "I saw the Prophet ﷺ perform two salutations (i.e., the act of greeting by saying 'As-Salamu Alaikum')."

«رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يُسَلِّمُ تَسْلِيمَتَيْنِ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to greet with his right hand and with his left hand.

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ شِمَالِهِ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said: "Protect your wealth with zakat, cure your diseases with charity, and prepare for adversity with supplication."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «حَصِّنُوا أَمْوَالَكُمْ بِالزَّكَاةِ وَدَاوُوا مَرْضَاكُمْ بِالصَّدَقَةِ وَأَعِدُّوا لِلْبَلَاءِ الدُّعَاءَ»

the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “If any man, who Allah has give knowledge to, and he conceals it, Allah with restrain him on the Day of Judgement with restraints made from fire.”

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَيُّمَا رَجُلٌ آتَاهُ اللهُ عِلْمًا فَكَتَمَهُ أَلْجَمَهُ اللهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِلِجَامٍ مِنْ نَارٍ»

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "If it is the day of fasting for any one of you, then let him not indulge in sexual relations or ignorant behavior. If anyone tries to provoke or annoy him, he should simply say, 'I am fasting.'"

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ صَوْمِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلَا يَرْفُثْ وَلَا يَجْهَلْ فَإِنْ جُهِلَ عَلَيْهِ فَلْيَقُلْ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ

[Machine] "On the authority of the Prophet, ﷺ , he said: When it is the day of fasting for any of you, then let him avoid obscenities and ignorance. If anyone abuses him or continues to be ignorant, then let him say, 'I am fasting.'"

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ صَوْمِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلَا يَرْفُثْ وَلَا يَجْهَلْ فَإِنْ جُهِلَ عَلَيْهِ فَلْيَقُلْ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet ﷺ , he said: "When one of you is fasting, let him not engage in obscene speech or behave foolishly. If someone insults or provokes him, let him say, 'Verily, I am fasting.'"

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ صَوْمِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلَا يَرْفُثْ وَلَا يَجْهَلْ فَإِنْ جُهِلَ عَلَيْهِ فَلْيَقُلْ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever asks for something while being rich, it will come to him on the Day of Judgment like a scorching blaze on his face."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مِنْ سَأَلَ مَسْأَلَةً وَهُوَ عَنْهَا غَنِيٌّ جَاءَتْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كُدُوحًا فِي وَجْهِهِ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever asks for something they are already wealthy with, it will come as a scorching coal on the Day of Judgment against their face."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مِنْ سَأَلَ مَسْأَلَةً وَهُوَ عَنْهَا غَنِيٌّ جَاءَتْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كُدُوحًا فِي وَجْهِهِ»

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever lends two loans will have the reward of giving in charity as if he had given one of them."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ أَقْرَضَ قَرْضَيْنِ كَانَ لَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِ أَحَدِهِمَا لَوْ تَصَدَّقَ بِهِ»

[Machine] "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was brought spoils of war, and he started giving to each household all together, and he disliked to separate them from one another."

«أُتِيَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِسَبْيٍ فَجَعَلَ يُعْطِي كُلَّ أَهْلِ بَيْتٍ جَمِيعًا وَكَرِهَ أَنْ يُفَرِّقَ بَيْنَهُمْ»

[Machine] "We used to perform ablution with the water of a leper's basin."

«كُنَّا نَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ مَسِّ الْأَبْرَصِ»

[Machine] "Seek it on the seventeenth night, for it is the dawn of the Day of Criterion, the day when the two groups met."

«الْتَمِسُوهَا لَيْلَةَ سَبْعَ عَشْرَةَ؛ فَإِنَّهَا صَبِيحَةُ يَوْمِ الْفُرْقَانِ يَوْمَ الْتَقَى الْجَمْعَانِ»

"The Prophet ﷺ prayed Zuhr when the length of (a person's shadow) was between three and five feet in summer, and between five and seven feet in winter." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 503)

«كَانَ قَدْرُ صَلَاةِ الظُّهْرِ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الصَّيْفِ ثَلَاثَةَ أَقْدَامٍ إِلَى خَمْسَةِ أَقْدَامٍ وَفِي الشِّتَاءِ خَمْسَةَ أَقْدَامٍ إِلَى سَبْعَةٍ»

[Machine] I heard the Prophet ﷺ saying, "Allah does not accept prayer without purification, nor does He accept charity from illegally acquired wealth, and start with those who are dependent on you."

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولَ «لَا يَقْبَلُ اللهُ صَلَاةً بِغَيْرِ طَهُورٍ وَلَا صَدَقَةً مِنْ غُلُولٍ وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ»

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "Verily, there will be rulers who will cause the prayer to be killed and strangled to the east of death. And indeed, it is a prayer that is worse than a donkey. And the prayer of one who does not find a place will be for those of you who are able to do so. So whoever among you lives during that time, let him establish the prayer at its proper time, and make your prayers along with them as a tasbih (glorification of Allah)."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّهَا سَيَكُونُ أُمَرَاءُ يُمِيتُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَيَخْنُقُونَهَا إِلَى شَرَقِ الْمَوْتَى وَإِنَّهَا صَلَاةُ مَنْ هُوَ شَرٌّ مِنْ حِمَارٍ وَصَلَاةُ مَنْ لَا يَجِدُ بُدًّا فَمَنْ أَدْرَكَ مِنْكُمْ ذَلِكَ الزَّمَانَ فَلْيَجْعَلِ الصَّلَاةَ لِوَقْتِهَا وَاجْعَلُوا صَلَاتَكُمْ مَعَهُمْ سُبْحَةً»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade anyone from monopolizing from the children of Adam.

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَتَخَصَّى أَحَدٌ مِنْ وَلَدِ آدَمَ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The worldly life will not come to an end until a man from my household comes to power with the same name as mine."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَذْهَبُ الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَافِقُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stayed one night with some of his family or wives and did not come to us for the last night prayer until the night was over. He then came to us and some of us were praying, while others were sleeping. He gave us glad tidings and said, "None of the people of the Book prays this prayer." Then the verse {They are not all the same; among the People of the Scripture is a community standing [in obedience], reciting the verses of Allah during periods of the night and prostrating [in prayer]} was revealed.

احْتَبَسَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ كَانَ عِنْدَ بَعْضِ أَهْلِهِ أَوْ نِسَائِهِ فَلَمْ يَأْتِنَا لِصَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ حَتَّى ذَهَبَ اللَّيْلُ فَجَاءَنَا وَمِنَّا الْمُصَلِّي وَمِنَّا الْمُضْطَجِعُ فَبَشَّرَنَا وَقَالَ «إِنَّهُ لَا يُصَلِّي هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةَ أَحَدٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ» فَنَزَلَتْ {لَيْسُوا سَوَاءً مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ أُمَّةٌ قَائِمَةٌ يَتْلُونَ آيَاتِ اللهِ آنَاءَ اللَّيْلِ وَهُمْ يَسْجُدُونَ}

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying: "People must have a just or oppressive rule. As for the just rule, it is fair in its division and benefits you equally. As for the oppressive rule, it is a trial for the believer. And a corrupt rule is better than chaos." It was asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what is chaos?" He said, "Killing and lying."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا بُدَّ لِلنَّاسِ مِنْ إِمَارَةٍ بَرَّةٍ أَوْ فَاجِرَةٍ فَأَمَّا الْبَرَّةُ فَتَعْدِلُ فِي الْقَسْمِ وَيُقْسَمُ بَيْنَكُمْ فَيْؤُكُمْ بِالسَّوِيَّةِ وَأَمَّا الْفَاجِرَةُ فَيُبْتَلَى فِيهَا الْمُؤْمِنُ وَالْإِمَارَةُ الْفَاجِرَةُ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْهَرْجِ» قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَمَا الْهَرْجُ؟ قَالَ «الْقَتْلُ وَالْكَذِبُ»

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ was asked about these two Surahs, so he said, "I was told, so I said, say as I said."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ سُئِلَ عَنْ هَاتَيْنِ السُّورَتَيْنِ فَقَالَ «قِيلَ لِي فَقُلْتُ فَقُولُوا كَمَا قُلْتُ»

[Machine] I heard the Prophet ﷺ praising date palm trees until I wished I were a man from the date palm trees.

سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ «يُثْنِي عَلَى النَّخَعِ حَتَّى تَمَنَّيْتُ أَنِّي رَجُلٌ مِنَ النَّخَعِ»

[Machine] Narrated by Abdullah ibn Masud, he said: "The Prophet ﷺ said, 'The world will not end until Allah sends a man from my Ahlul-Bayt (Prophet's household) whose name matches my name, and whose father's name matches my father's name.'"

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ يَرْفَعُهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا يَذْهَبُ الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى يَبْعَثَ اللهُ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي وَاسْمُ أَبِيهِ اسْمَ أَبِي»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Hour will not be established until a man from my household rises, whose name matches my name. He will fill the earth with justice and equity, just as it has been filled with oppression and injustice."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي يَمْلَأُ الْأَرْضَ عَدْلًا وَقِسْطًا كَمَا مُلِئَتْ ظُلْمًا وَجَوْرًا»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The nights and days will not pass until a man from my household will rise and have a name that is similar to my name."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَذْهَبُ اللَّيَالِي وَالْأَيَّامُ حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If there was only one night left in the world, a man from the Prophet's household would rule it."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَوْ لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا لَيْلَةٌ لَمَلَكَ فِيهَا رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The world will not end until a man from my household, whose name matches mine, will rule."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَذْهَبُ الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The world will not come to an end until a man from my family, whose name matches my name, becomes the ruler of the Arabs." And this wording is from the hadith of Musaddad.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَنْقَضِي الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ الْعَرَبَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي» وَاللَّفْظُ لِحَدِيثِ مُسَدَّدٍ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The days and nights will not pass until a man from my household will rule, and his name will be the same as mine. He will fill the earth with justice as it was filled with oppression and injustice."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَذْهَبُ الْأَيَّامُ وَاللَّيَالِي حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي يَمْلَأُ الْأَرْضَ عَدْلًا كَمَا مُلِئَتْ جَوْرًا وَظُلْمًا»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The world will not come to an end until a man from my family fills the earth with justice and fairness, just as it was filled with oppression and tyranny. His name will match mine."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَذْهَبُ الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى يَلِيَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يَمْلَأُ الْأَرْضَ قِسْطًا وَعَدْلًا كَمَا مُلِئَتْ ظُلْمًا وَجَوْرًا يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي»

[Machine] I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "The world will not come to an end until a man from my household comes forward whose name matches my name."

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا يَنْقَضِي الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى يَلِيَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If there remained only one day in the world, Allah would lengthen that day until He sends in it a man from among me or from my family, whose name will match my name and his father's name will match my father's name."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَوْ لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا يَوْمٌ لَطَوَّلَ اللهُ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ حَتَّى يَبْعَثَ اللهُ فِيهِ رَجُلًا مِنِّي أَوْ مِنْ أَهْلِي أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي وَاسْمُ أَبِيهِ اسْمَ أَبِي»

[Machine] "For me, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'The world will not pass away, nor will the days end, until a man from my family controls the Arabs, and his name matches mine.'"

لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَذْهَبُ الدُّنْيَا أَوْ لَا يَنْقَضِي الْأَيَّامُ حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ الْعَرَبَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "If there was only one night left in the world, Allah would prolong that night until a man from my family rises, whose name matches my name and his father's name matches my father's name. He will fill the earth with justice and fairness, as it has been filled with oppression and injustice."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَوْ لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا لَيْلَةٌ لَطَوَّلَ اللهُ تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةَ حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي وَاسْمُ أَبِيهِ اسْمَ أَبِي يَمْلَأُهَا قِسْطًا وَعَدْلًا كَمَا مُلِئَتْ ظُلْمًا وَجَوْرًا»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The world will not come to an end until a man from my household, whose name matches mine, fills the earth with justice and fairness, just as it was filled with oppression and injustice."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَذْهَبُ الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَافِقُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي يَمْلَأُ الْأَرْضَ قِسْطًا وَعَدْلًا كَمَا مُلِئَتْ جَوْرًا وَظُلْمًا»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The world will not end until a man from my household emerges who bears my name." They asked, "Yes?"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَذْهَبُ الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي» ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The world will not come to an end until a man from my household rises, and his name will be the same as mine." He said, "Yes."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَذْهَبُ الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي» ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The world will not pass away until a man from my family will rule whose name is the same as mine." He asked, "Yes?"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَذْهَبُ الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي» ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The days and nights will not pass until a man from my household will rule."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَذْهَبُ الْأَيَّامُ وَاللَّيَالِي حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي»

[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "A man from my household will emerge, whose name will be identical to mine and his character will resemble mine. He will fill the earth with justice and fairness, just as it was filled with oppression and injustice."

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «يَخْرُجُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي وَخُلُقُهُ خُلُقِي يَمْلَأُهَا عَدْلًا وَقِسْطًا كَمَا مُلِئَتْ ظُلْمًا وَجَوْرًا»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The days and nights will not pass away, even if there is only one day left in the world, until Allah raises a man from my nation whose name will match my name."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَذْهَبُ الْأَيَّامُ وَاللَّيَالِي وَلَوْ لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا يَوْمٌ حَتَّى يَبْعَثَ اللهُ رَجُلًا مِنْ أُمَّتِي يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Take care of the Quran, for it is prone to be forgotten faster than the camels from their ropes and their necks. None of you should say, 'I have forgotten a verse' but should rather say 'I have been made to forget.'"

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ تَعَاهَدُوا الْقُرْآنَ؛ فَإِنَّهُ وَحْشِيٌّ فَلَهُوَ أَسْرَعُ تَفَصِّيًا مِنْ صُدُورِ الرِّجَالِ مِنَ الْإِبِلِ مِنْ عُقُلِهَا وَلَا يَقُولُ أَحَدُكُمْ نَسِيتُ آيَةَ كَيْتَ وَكَيْتَ بَلْ نُسِّيَ

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Fasting for the thirteenth, fourteenth, and fifteenth of every month is fasting for a lifetime, along with its reward for breaking the fast."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «صِيَامُ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ وَأَرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ وَخَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ صِيَامُ الدَّهْرِ وَإِفْطَارُهُ»

"The Messenger of Allah used to be keen to fast on Mondays and Thursday." (Using translation from Nasāʾī 2364)

«كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَصُومُ الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسَ»

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever deceives us is not one of us, and deceit and trickery are in the Hellfire."

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ غَشَّنَا فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا وَالْمَكْرُ وَالْخِدَاعُ فِي النَّارِ»

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Take Suhur as there is a blessing in it." (Using translation from Bukhārī 1923)

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «تَسَحَّرُوا؛ فَإِنَّ فِي السَّحُورِ بَرَكَةً»

[Machine] On the authority of the Prophet, may peace and blessings be upon him, he said, "The one who performs witchcraft and the one who seeks help from a witch shall be thrown into the fire."

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «الْوَائِدَةُ وَالْمَوْءُودَةُ فِي النَّارِ»

[Machine] The companions of the Prophet ﷺ on the Day of Badr were three hundred.

كَانَ أَصْحَابُ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ ثَلَاثَمِائَةٍ

[Machine] "About prayer at sunrise and at sunset"

عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ عِنْدَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَعِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا»
