"إِنَّمَا يتجالَسُ المُتَجَالِسَان بأمانِ اللَّهِ تعالى، فلا يَحِلُّ لأَحدِهمَا أَن يُفْشِى عَلَى صَاحِبِهِ ما يكرَهُ، وأَكرمُ النَّاسِ علىَّ جليسِى".  

ابن المبارك، والخرائطى، وابن لال كلاهما في مكارم الأخلاق عن أَبى بكر بن محمد بن عمرو بن جزم مرسلًا، (رفعه إِلَّا أَن ابن لال رواه من حديث ابن مسعود)
