"إِنَّ ابْنى هَذَا -يعنى الحُسين- يُقْتَلُ بأرضٍ من أرضِ العراق، يقال لها كَربلاءَ، فمن شَهد ذلك منكم فَلينْصُرْهُ".  

البغوى، وابن السكن وابن منده، والباوردى، وابن عساكر عن أنس بن الحارث بن نبيه، قال البغوى: لا أعلمُ روى غيره، وقال ابن السكن: ليس ذا يُروى إِلا من هذا الوجه، ولا يُعْرَفُ لأَنسٍ غيرُه
