"إِنَّ الجودَ لَمِنْ شيمةِ أهْل ذَلِكَ البَيتِ".  

أبو بكر فِي الغيلانيات وابن عساكر عن جابر بن عبد الله: أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ بعث بعثًا عليهم قيسُ بن سعدِ بنِ عُبادة فَجَهِدُوا فنحر لهم قيس تسع ركائب، فلما قدموا ذكروا ذلك لرسول الله ﷺ فقال: فذكره - ابن عساكر - عن جابر بن سمرة أيضًا
