that the people were in doubt whether the Prophet ﷺ was fasting on the Day of ʿArafat or not, so a (wooden) drinking vessel full of milk was sent to him, and he drank it.

عَنْ أُمِّ الْفَضْلِ أَنَّهُمْ شَكُّوا فِي صَوْمِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ فَبُعِثَ إِلَيْهِ بِقَدَحٍ مِنْ لَبَنٍ فَشَرِبَهُ

Umm al-Fadl (Allah be pleased with her) is reported to have said that some people among the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ were in doubt about fasting on the day of 'Arafa and we were with him on that day. I (Umm al-Fadl) sent him a cup of milk and he was halting at 'Arafa, and he drank that.

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أُمَّ الْفَضْلِ ؓ تَقُولُ شَكَّ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي صِيَامِ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ وَنَحْنُ بِهَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَأَرْسَلْتُ إِلَيْهِ بِقَعْبٍ فِيهِ لَبَنٌ وَهُوَ بِعَرَفَةَ فَشَرِبَهُ

"The Prophet broke (the fast) of Arafah, Umm Fadl sent him some milk to drink."

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَفْطَرَ بِعَرَفَةَ وَأَرْسَلَتْ إِلَيْهِ أُمُّ الْفَضْلِ بِلَبَنٍ فَشَرِبَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَابْنِ عُمَرَ وَأُمِّ الْفَضْلِ

[AI] The Messenger of Allahﷺ broke his fast in Arafat. Umm al-Fadl sent him some milk, so he drank it.

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَفْطَرَ بِعَرَفَةَ بَعَثَت إِلَيْهِ أُمُّ الْفَضْلِ بِلَبَنٍ فَشَرِبَ

[AI] The Prophet ﷺ broke his fast at Arafat. He said that Umm Al-Fadl sent him milk, so he drank it.

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَفْطَرَ بِعَرَفَةَ قَالَ بَعَثَتْ إلَيْهِ أُمُّ الْفَضْلِ بِلَبَنٍ فَشَرِبَهُ

[AI] The translation of the given text is: "Regarding the twins, Ibn Abbas mentioned that they used to compete in fasting on the day of Arafah. So Umm al-Fadl sent milk to the Prophet ﷺ and he drank it."

التَّوْأَمَةِعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُمْ تَمَارَوْا فِي صَوْمِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ فَأَرْسَلَتْ أُمُّ الْفَضْلِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِلَبَنٍ فَشَرِبَ

[AI] And the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I broke my fast at Arafah, and Umm Al-Fadl sent me milk, so I drank it."

وَقَالَ أَفْطَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺبِعَرَفَةَ وَبَعَثَتْ إِلَيْهِ أُمُّ الْفَضْلِ بِلَبَنٍ فَشَرِبَهُ

[AI] The Messenger of Allahﷺ broke his fast (ate Iftar) in Arafat, and Umm Al-Fadl sent him milk, which he drank.

أَفْطَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِعَرَفَةَ وَبَعَثَتْ إِلَيْهِ أُمُّ الْفَضْلِ بِلَبَنٍ فَشَرِبَهُ

[AI] Mother of Al-Fadl informed him that they complained about the fasting of the Prophet ﷺ on the day of Arafah, so she sent him some milk and he drank it while he was delivering a sermon to the people at Arafah on his camel.

أَنَّ أُمَّ الْفَضْلِ أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّهُمْ شَكُّوا فِي صَوْمِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ فَأَرْسَلَتْ إِلَيْهِ بِلَبَنٍ فَشَرِبَ وَهُوَ يَخْطُبُ النَّاسَ بِعَرَفَةَ عَلَى بَعِيرِهِ

[AI] Um Al-Fadl reported that they were fasting on the day of Arafah with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . So, she sent him a cup with milk in it, and he drank it.

عَنْ أُمِّ الْفَضْلِ أَنَّهُمْ تَمَارَوْا فِي صَوْمِ رَسُولِ اللهُ ﷺ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ فَبَعَثَتْ إِلَيْهِ بِقَدَحٍ فِيهِ لَبَنٌ فَشَرِبَهُ

[AI] That Um al-Fadl sent milk to the Prophet while he was delivering a sermon to the people in Arafat.

أَنَّ أُمَّ الْفَضْلِ أَرْسَلَتْ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِلَبَنٍ فَشَرِبَ وَهُوَ يَخْطُبُ النَّاسَ بِعَرَفَةَ

[AI] They complained about the fasting of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on Arafah, so Umm Al-Fadl said, "I know this for you." She then sent him a bowl of milk, and he drank from it.

شَكُّوا فِي صِيَامِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِعَرَفَةَ فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ الْفَضْلِ أَنَا أَعْلَمُ لَكُمْ ذَلِكَ فَأَرْسَلَتْ إِلَيْهِ بِقَعْبٍ مِنْ لَبَنٍ فَشَرِبَ مِنْهُ

[AI] He heard Umm al-Fadl saying, "People had doubts about fasting on the Day of Arafah, while we were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so I sent him a container of milk and he drank it while he was in Arafah."

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أُمَّ الْفَضْلِ تَقُولُ «شَكَّ النَّاسُ فِي صِيَامِ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ وَنَحْنُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَأَرْسَلْتُ إِلَيْهِ بِقَعْبٍ مِنْ لَبَنٍ وَهُوَ بِعَرَفَةَ فَشَرِبَهُ»

[AI] That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ broke his fast at Arafat, and Umm al-Fadl brought him milk and he drank it.
