"عَنْ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ قَالَ: مَرَّ عَلِىٌّ بِرَجُلٍ يَوْمَ صِفِّينَ مَقْتُولٍ وَمَعَهُ الأَشْتَرُ، فَاسْتَرْجَعَ الأَشْتَرُ فَقَالَ عَلِىٌّ: مَالَكَ؟ قَالَ: هَذَا حَابِسٌ الْيَمَانِىُّ عَهِدْتُهُ مُؤْمِنًا ثُمَّ قُتِلَ عَلَى ضَلَالِهِ، قَالَ عَلىٌّ: وَالآنَ هُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ".
