"عَنْ إِسْمَاعيلَ بْنِ أبِى خَالِد قَالَ: رأَيْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْن أَبِى أَوْفَى بِيَدِهِ ضَرْبَةٌ، فَقُلتُ: مَا هَذَا؟ فَقَالَ: ضُرِبْتُهَا يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ، قُلتُ لَهُ: وَشَهِدْتَ مَعَ رَسُول الله ﷺ حُنَيْنًا؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ".
