"يَا جَابِرُ: إِذَا كَانَ وَاسِعًا فَخَالِفْ بَيْنَ طَرَفَيْهِ، وَإذَا كَانَ ضيِّقًا فَاشْدُدْهُ عَلَى حَقْوِكَ".  

[خ] البخاري [م] مسلم [د] أبو داود وابن الجارود، [حب] ابن حبّان [ك] الحاكم في المستدرك عن جابر، ولفظ [خ] البخاري "إن كان واسعا فالتحف به، وإن كان ضيقا فاتزر به"
