السيوطي:٢-٣٤٤٠b –

"عَن الحَسنِ قَالَ: مَاتَ عُمَرُ بنُ الخَطَّابِ ولَم يَجْمَع القُرآنَ، وَقَالَ: أَمُوتُ وَأَنَا فِى زِيادةٍ أَحَبُّ إلِىَّ مِن أَنْ أَموتَ وَأنَا فِى نُقصانٍ، قال الأنصارى: يعنى نسيان القُرآن".
