"عن موسى بن عمر قال: أصاب النَّاسَ قحطٌ، فخرج عمرُ بن الخطاب ليستقى فأخذ بيدِ العباس فاستقبلَ به القبلةَ فقال: هذا عم نبيِّك جئنا نتوسل به إليك فاسقنا، فما رجعوا حتى سُقُوا".
