"عَنْ جَامِع بْنِ شَدَّادٍ عَنْ أَبِيِه قَالَ: كَانَ أَوَّلُ كَلَامٍ تَكَلَّمَ بِهِ عُمَرُ حِينَ صَعِدَ الْمِنْبَرَ أَنْ قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّى غَلِيظٌ فَلَيِّنِّى، وَإِنِّى ضَعِيفٌ فَقَوِّنِى وَإِنِّى بَخيلٌ فَسَخِّنِى".
