"عَنْ أَبِى عُثْمَانَ النُّهْدِى قَالَ: أَمَرَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ بِثَلَاثَة قُرَّاءٍ فَاسْتَقْرَأَهُمْ فَأَمَرَ أَسْرَعَهُمْ قِرَاءَةً أَنْ يَقْرَأَ لِلنَّاسِ فِى رَمَضَانَ ثَلَاثِينَ آيَةً، وَأَمَرَ أَوْسَطَهُمْ أَنْ يَقْرَأَ خَمْسًا وَعِشْرِينَ، وَأَمَرَ أَبْطَأَهُمْ أَنْ يَقْرَأَ عِشرِينَ آيَةً".
