السيوطي:١٤٦٣١a –

"سَأَلْتُ الله يَا عَلى فِيكَ خَمْسًا: فَمنعنى واحدةً، وأَعْطَانى أَرْبعًا: سأَلتُ اللهَ أَنْ يَجمع عَلَيْكَ أُمَّتى، فَأَبَى عَلَىَّ، وأَعطانى فيك أَن أَول مَن تَنْشق عنه الأَرض يومَ القِيَامةِ أَنَا وأَنت مَعِى، مَعَكَ لِواءُ الحمدِ وأَنت تَحمِلُه بين يدىَّ؛ تَسْبِقُ به الأَولين والآخرين، وأَعطانى أنك ولى المؤمنين بعدى".

"عَنْ عَلِىٍّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ الله ﷺ : سَأَلتُ الله فِيكَ خَمْسًا فَأَعْطَانِى أَرْبعًا، وَمَنَعَنِى وَاحِدَةً، سَأَلْتُهُ فَأَعْطَانِى فِيكَ أَنَّكَ أَوَّلُ مَنْ تَنْشَقُّ عَنْهُ الأَرْضُ يَوْمَ القِيامَةِ، وَأَنْتَ مَعِى مَعَكَ لِواءُ الْحَمْدِ، وَأَنْتَ تَحْمِلُهُ، وَأَعْطانِى أَنَّكَ وَلِىُّ الْمؤْمِنِينَ مِنْ بَعْدِى".
