"دَعْها عَنْكَ؛ فَإِنَّ مِنَ القَرَفِ التَّلف".  

[حم] أحمد [د] أبو داود [هب] البيهقى في شعب الإيمان عن فروة برْ مُسيك (قال: قلت: يا رسول اللَّه إِنَّ عندنا أَرضا يقالُ لها: أَبْيَنُ: أَرضُ رِيفِنا، وأَرضُ مِيرَتِنا، وهى شَدِيدَةُ الوَبَاء، فقال: دعها وذكره، والقَرَفُ: ملَابَسةُ الدَّاءِ وَمُدَانَاة المرضى، والتلفُ: الهلاك، وليس هذه من باب العدوى، وإِنَّما هو من باب الطِّب)
