This hadith has been narrated through another chain of transmitters directly from the Companions of Muhammad ﷺ.  

مسلم:٨١٤c – وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ح وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ كِلاَهُمَا

عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ مِثْلَهُ وَفِي رِوَايَةِ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ وَكَانَ مِنْ رُفَعَاءِ أَصْحَابِ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ
