" He was endowed," and in the hadith reported by Abu Usama (the words are):" It is reported from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."  

مسلم:٢٠٠c – وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ح وَحَدَّثَنِيهِ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ جَمِيعًا عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ غَيْرَ أَنَّ فِي حَدِيثِ وَكِيعٍ قَالَ قَالَ

أُعْطِيَ وَفِي حَدِيثِ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ
