ibnmajah:4069ʿAlī b. Muḥammad > Wakīʿ > Sufyān > Abū Ḥayyān al-Taymī > Abū Zurʿah b. ʿAmr b. Jarīr > ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAmr

“The first signs to appear will be at the rising of the sun from the west and the emergence of the Beast to the people, at forenoon.’” 'Abdullah said: "Whichever of them appears first, the other will come soon after." 'Abdullah said: "I do not think it will be anything other than the sun rising from the west."  

ابن ماجة:٤٠٦٩حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي حَيَّانَ التَّيْمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَرِيرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَوَّلُ الآيَاتِ خُرُوجًا طُلُوعُ الشَّمْسِ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا وَخُرُوجُ الدَّابَّةِ عَلَى النَّاسِ ضُحًى قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ فَأَيَّتُهُمَا مَا خَرَجَتْ قَبْلَ الأُخْرَى فَالأُخْرَى مِنْهَا قَرِيبٌ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَلاَ أَظُنُّهَا إِلاَّ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا

[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The sun rises from its place of setting, and the beast emerges upon people at dawn. Whichever of the two emerges before its companion, the other will be close, and I do not consider it to be except when the sun rises from its place of setting. It says, 'I am the one who comes first.'"
