ذِكْرُ تَمْثِيلِ الْمُصْطَفَى الْمَوْضِعَ الَّذِي يُذْكَرُ اللَّهُ جَلَّ وَعَلَا فِيهِ، وَالْمَوْضِعَ الَّذِي لَا يُذْكَرُ اللَّهُ فِيهِ

ibnhibban:854 – Abū Yaʿlá > Abū Kurayb > Abū Usāmah > Burayd > Abū Burdah > Abū Mūsá

The house in which remembrance of Allah is made and the house in which Allah is not remembered are like the living and the dead. (Using translation from Muslim 779)  

ابن حبّان:٨٥٤ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنْ بُرَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَثَلُ الْبَيْتِ الَّذِي يُذْكَرُ اللَّهُ فِيهِ وَالْبَيْتِ الَّذِي لَا يُذْكَرُ اللَّهُ فِيهِ مَثَلُ الْحَيِّ وَالْمَيِّتِ»

The Prophet ﷺ said, "The example of the one who celebrates the Praises of his Lord (Allah) in comparison to the one who does not celebrate the Praises of his Lord, is that of a living creature compared to a dead one."
