ذِكْرُ الزَّجْرِ عَنْ حَمْلِ لُقَطَةِ الْحَاجِّ إِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ يُعْرَفُ أَرْبَابُهَا

ibnhibban:4896 – ʿAbdullāh b. Muḥammad b. Salm > Ḥarmalah b. Yaḥyá > Ibn Wahb > ʿAmr b. al-Ḥārith > Bukayr b. al-Ashaj > Yaḥyá b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Ḥāṭib > ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. ʿUthmān al-Taymī

The Messenger of Allah (SWAS) prohibited taking the find of pilgrims. Ibn Wahb said : One should leave the find of a pilgrim till its owner finds it. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 1719)   

ابن حبّان:٤٨٩٦ – أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حَاطِبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنْ لُقَطَةِ الْحَاجِّ» قَالَ ابْنُ وَهْبٍ «وَلُقَطَةُ الْحَاجِّ يَتْرُكُهَا حَتَّى يَجِدَهَا صَاحِبُهَا»
