٢٢۔ كِتَابُ الْوَصَايَا

22.25 [Machine] Who dislikes to distribute his wealth at death

٢٢۔٢٥ بَابُ: مَنْ كَرِهَ أَنْ يُفَرِّقَ مَالَهُ عِنْدَ الْمَوْتِ

darimi:3292Yaʿlá > Ismāʿīl > Qays

[Machine] It is said that a man's wealth is deprived of its blessings during his lifetime, but when he is near death, he gathers provisions for the dawn.  

الدارمي:٣٢٩٢حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ قَيْسٍ قَالَ كَانَ

يُقَالُ إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيُحْرَمُ بَرَكَةَ مَالِهِ فِي حَيَاتِهِ فَإِذَا كَانَ عِنْدَ الْمَوْتِ تَزَوَّدَ بِفَجْرَةٍ  

darimi:3293Aḥmad b. ʿAbdullāh > Abū Zubayd > Ḥuṣayn > Ibrāhīm al-Taymī from his father

[Machine] Abdullah Al Murran said, "Moderation is important in life, but extravagance is evident at the time of death." Abu Muhammad added, "It is said that there is moderation in life and moderation at the time of death."  

الدارمي:٣٢٩٣حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُبَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا حُصَيْنٌ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ

عَبْدُ اللَّهِ الْمُرَّانِ الْإِمْسَاكُ فِي الْحَيَاةِ وَالتَّبْذِيرُ عِنْدَ الْمَوْتِ قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد «يُقَالُ مُرٌّ فِي الْحَيَاةِ وَمُرٌّ عِنْدَ الْمَوْتِ»
