A person came to the Prophet ﷺ and told him that he was always betrayed in purchasing. The Prophet ﷺ told him to say at the time of buying, "No cheating."

أَنَّ رَجُلاً ذَكَرَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ يُخْدَعُ فِي الْبُيُوعِ فَقَالَ إِذَا بَايَعْتَ فَقُلْ لاَ خِلاَبَةَ

A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "I am often betrayed in bargaining." The Prophet ﷺ advised him, "When you buy something, say (to the seller), 'No deception." The man used to say so afterwards.

رَجُلٌ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِنِّي أُخْدَعُ فِي الْبُيُوعِ فَقَالَ إِذَا بَايَعْتَ فَقُلْ لاَ خِلاَبَةَ فَكَانَ الرَّجُلُ يَقُولُهُ

A man mentioned to the Prophet ﷺ that he had always been cheated in bargains. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whenever you do bargain, say, 'No cheating.'"

أَنَّ رَجُلاً ذَكَرَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ يُخْدَعُ فِي الْبُيُوعِ فَقَالَ إِذَا بَايَعْتَ فَقُلْ لاَ خِلاَبَةَ

A man mentioned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he was deceived in a business transaction, whereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When you enter into a transaction, say: There should be no attempt to deceive.

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ ذَكَرَ رَجُلٌ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ يُخْدَعُ فِي الْبُيُوعِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَنْ بَايَعْتَ فَقُلْ لاَ خِلاَبَةَ فَكَانَ إِذَا بَايَعَ يَقُولُ لاَ خِيَابَةَ

A man told the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he was being deceived in business transactions. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said: When you make a bargain, say: There is no attempt to deceive. So when the man made a bargain, he said: There is no attempt to deceive.

أَنَّ رَجُلاً ذَكَرَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ يُخْدَعُ فِي الْبَيْعِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا بَايَعْتَ فَقُلْ لاَ خِلاَبَةَ فَكَانَ الرَّجُلُ إِذَا بَايَعَ يَقُولُ لاَ خِلاَبَةَ

a man told the Messenger of Allah that he was always being cheated. The Messenger of Allah said to him: "When you make a deal, say: There is no intention of cheating" So, whenever the man engages in a deal he says, 'There is no intention of cheating." "(Sahih )

أَنَّ رَجُلاً ذَكَرَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ يُخْدَعُ فِي الْبَيْعِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا بِعْتَ فَقُلْ لاَ خِلاَبَةَ فَكَانَ الرَّجُلُ إِذَا بَاعَ يَقُولُ لاَ خِلاَبَةَ

[AI] A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have been deceived in a transaction." The Prophet then said, "If you sell, say 'there is no deceit'."

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَاللهِ إِنِّي أُخْدَعُ فِي الْبَيْعِ فَقَالَ إِذَا بِعْتَ فَقُلْ لَا خِلَابَةَ

[AI] It was mentioned to the Prophet ﷺ that a man was being deceived in a transaction. The Prophet said to him, "Whoever deceives you in a trade, say 'No deception.' " So the man used to say, "No deception" whenever he made a transaction, and it became a habitual phrase on his tongue.

ذُكِرَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ رَجُلٌ يُخْدَعُ فِي الْبَيْعِ فَقَالَ لَهُ مَنْ بَايَعْتَ فَقُلْ لَا خِلَابَةَ فَكَانَ يَقُولُ إِذَا بَايَعَ لَا خِلَابَةَ وَكَانَ فِي لِسَانِهِ رُتَّةٌ

[AI] A man asked the Prophet ﷺ, "O Messenger of Allah, I am a man who is deceived in business transactions?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "If you have made a transaction, then say 'no deception.'"

سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي رَجُلٌ أُخْدَعُ فِي الْبَيْعِ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِنَّهُ مَنْ بَايَعْتَ فَقُلْ لَا خِلَابَةَ

[AI] A man said, "O Messenger of Allah, I am being deceived in a transaction." He replied, "Say, there is no deception."

رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي أُخْدَعُ فِي الْبَيْعِ قَالَ قُلْ لَا خِلَابَةَ

[AI] "To the messenger of Allahﷺ indeed I engage in buying and I am deceived. So he said, if that is the case, then say: 'no deceit.'"

لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ إِنِّي أَشْتَرِي الْبَيْعَ فَأُخْدَعُ فَقَالَ إِذَا كَانَ ذَاكَ فَقُلْ لَا خِلَابَةَ

رَجُلٌ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِنِّي أُخْدَعُ فِي الْبَيْعِ فَقَالَ إِذَا بَايَعْتَ فَقُلْ لَا خِلَابَةَ فَكَانَ الرَّجُلُ يَقُولُهُ

Yahya related to me from Malik from Abdullah ibn Dinar from Abdullah ibn Umar that a man mentioned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he was always being cheated in business transactions. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When you enter a transaction, say, 'No trickery.' So whenever that man entered a transaction, he would say, 'No trickery.' "

أَنَّ رَجُلاً ذَكَرَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ يُخْدَعُ فِي الْبُيُوعِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا بَايَعْتَ فَقُلْ لاَ خِلاَبَةَ قَالَ فَكَانَ الرَّجُلُ إِذَا بَايَعَ يَقُولُ لاَ خِلاَبَةَ

A man mentioned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he was deceived in a business transaction, whereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When you enter into a transaction, say: There should be no attempt to deceive. (Using translation from Muslim 1533a)

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ ذُكِرَ رَجُلٌ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ يُخْدَعُ فِي الْبُيُوعِ فَقَالَ لَهُ «مَنْ بَايَعْتَ فَقُلْ لَا خِلَابَةَ» وَكَانَ إِذَا بَايَعَ يَقُولُ لَا خِلَابَةَ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا ذُكِرَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ يَنْخَدِعُ فِي الْبُيُوعِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِذَا بِعْتَ فَقُلْ لَا خِلَابَةَ» قَالَ فَكَانَ الرَّجُلُ إِذَا ابْتَاعَ يَقُولُ لَا خِلَابَةَ

قَالَ كَانَ رَجُلٌ فِي زَمَنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَخْدَعُ فِي بَيْعِهِ فَاشْتَكَى ذَلِكَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَكان فِي لِسَانِهِ رَتَّةٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا بِعْتَ فَقُلْ لا خَلابَةَ وَإِذَا ابْتَعْتَ فَقُلْ لا خلابة

A man told the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he was being deceived in business transactions. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said: When you make a bargain, say: There is no attempt to deceive. So when the man made a bargain, he said: There is no attempt to deceive. (Using translation from Abū Dāʾūd 3500)

أَنَّ رَجُلًا ذَكَرَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ يُخْدَعُ فِي الْبَيْعِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا بَايَعْتَ فَقُلْ لَا خِلَابَةَ وَكَانَ الرَّجُلُ إِذَا بَاعَ يَقُولُ لَا خِلَابَةَ

[AI] He heard Ibn Umar say that a man mentioned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he was being deceived in his trade transactions, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "If you have entered into a transaction, then say 'no deception.’"

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ ذَكَرَ رَجُلٌ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ يُخْدَعُ فِي الْبُيُوعِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ بَايَعْتَ فَقُلْ لَا خِلَابَةَ

"سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ النَّبِىَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: يا نَبِىَّ الله إِنِى أخْدعُ فِى البَيْعِ فَقَالَ النَّبِىُّ ﷺ مَنْ بَايَعْتَ فَقُلْ لاَ خَلاَبَةَ".
