narrated from his father, from his grandfather that the Prophet ﷺ said to Bilal bin Al-Harith: "Know." He said: "I am ready to know O Messenger of Allah!" He ﷺ said: "That indeed whoever revives a Sunnah from my Sunnah which has died after me, then for him is a reward similar to whoever acts upon it without diminishing anything from their rewards. And whoever introduces an erroneous innovation which Allah is not pleased with, nor His Messenger, then he shall receive sins similar to whoever acts upon it, without that diminishing anything from the sins of the people.'"

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لِبِلاَلِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ اعْلَمْ قَالَ مَا أَعْلَمُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ اعْلَمْ يَا بِلاَلُ قَالَ مَا أَعْلَمُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ أَنَّهُ مَنْ أَحْيَا سُنَّةً مِنْ سُنَّتِي قَدْ أُمِيتَتْ بَعْدِي فَإِنَّ لَهُ مِنَ الأَجْرِ مِثْلَ مَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَنْقُصَ مِنْ أُجُورِهِمْ شَيْئًا وَمَنِ ابْتَدَعَ بِدْعَةَ ضَلاَلَةٍ لاَ يَرْضَاهَا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ كَانَ عَلَيْهِ مِثْلُ آثَامِ مَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا لاَ يَنْقُصُ ذَلِكَ مِنْ أَوْزَارِ النَّاسِ شَيْئًا

"My father told me narrating from my grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever revives a Sunnah of mine, which people then act upon, will have a reward equivalent to that of those who act upon it, without that detracting from their reward in the slightest. And whoever introduces an innovation (Bid'ah) that is acted upon, will have a burden of sins equivalent to that of those who act upon it, withot that detracting from the burden of those who act upon it in the slightest.'"

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ أَحْيَا سُنَّةً مِنْ سُنَّتِي فَعَمِلَ بِهَا النَّاسُ كَانَ لَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِ مَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا لاَ يَنْقُصُ مِنْ أُجُورِهِمْ شَيْئًا وَمَنِ ابْتَدَعَ بِدْعَةً فَعُمِلَ بِهَا كَانَ عَلَيْهِ أَوْزَارُ مَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا لاَ يَنْقُصُ مِنْ أَوْزَارِ مَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا شَيْئًا

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'Whoever revives a Sunnah of mine that dies out after I am gone, he will have a reward equivalent to that of those among the people who act upon it, without that detracting from their reward in the slightest. Whoever introduces an innovation (Bid'ah) with which Allah and his Messenger are not pleased, he will have a (burden of) sin equivalent to that of those among the people who act upon it, without that detracting from their sins in the slightest.'"

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَنْ أَحْيَا سُنَّةً مِنْ سُنَّتِي قَدْ أُمِيتَتْ بَعْدِي فَإِنَّ لَهُ مِنَ الأَجْرِ مِثْلَ أَجْرِ مَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا مِنَ النَّاسِ لاَ يَنْقُصُ مِنْ أُجُورِ النَّاسِ شَيْئًا وَمَنِ ابْتَدَعَ بِدْعَةً لاَ يَرْضَاهَا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ فَإِنَّ عَلَيْهِ مِثْلَ إِثْمِ مَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا مِنَ النَّاسِ لاَ يَنْقُصُ مِنْ آثَامِ النَّاسِ شَيْئًا

"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever introduces a good practice that is followed, he will receive its reward and a reward equivalent to that of those who follow it, without that detracting from their reward in their slightest. And whoever introduces a bad practice that is followed, he will receive its sin and a burden of sin equivalent to that of those who follow it, without that detracting from their burden in the slightest.'" قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ سَنَّ سُنَّةً حَسَنَةً عُمِلَ بِهَا بَعْدَهُ كَانَ لَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِ مَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يُنْقَصَ مِنْ أَجْرِهِ شَيْءٌ وَمَنْ سَنَّ سُنَّةً سَيِّئَةً كَانَ عَلَيْهِ مِثْلُ وِزْرِ مَنْ يعَمِلَ بِهَا مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يُنْقَصَ مِنْ أَوْزَارِهِم شَيْءٌ»

Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No one calls to guidance without having the same reward as those who follow him without diminishing their rewards at all. And no one calls to error without having the same burdens as they do without diminishing their burdens at all."

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ مَا مِنْ دَاعٍ يَدْعُو إِلَى هُدًى إِلاَّ كَانَ لَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِ مَنِ اتَّبَعَهُ لاَ يَنْقُصُ ذَلِكَ مِنْ أُجُورِهِمْ شَيْئًا وَمَا مِنْ دَاعٍ يَدْعُو إِلَى ضَلاَلَةٍ إِلاَّ كَانَ عَلَيْهِ مِثْلُ أَوْزَارِهِمْ لاَ يَنْقُصُ ذَلِكَ مِنْ أَوْزَارِهِمْ شَيْئًا

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ سَنَّ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ سُنَّةً حَسَنَةً فَعُمِلَ بِهَا بَعْدَهُ كَانَ لَهُ أَجْرُهَا وَأَجْرُ مَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَنْقُصَ مِنْ أُجُورِهِمْ شَيْءٌ وَمَنْ سَنَّ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ سُنَّةً سَيِّئَةً فَعُمِلَ بِهَا بَعْدَهُ فَعَلَيْهِ وِزْرُهَا وَوِزْرُ مَنْ عَمِلَ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَنْ يَنْقُصَ مِنْ أَوْزَارِهِمْ شَيْءٌ وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ وَهِشَامٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ حُذَيْفَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِنَحْوِهِ وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ رَوَاهُ عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَحَدِيثُ حُذَيْفَةَ أَصَحُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَن النَّبِيّ ﷺ قال من دعا إلى هدى كان له من الأجر مثل أجر من تبعه لا ينقص ذلك من أجورهم شيئا وَمَنْ دعا إلى ضلالة كان عليه من الإثم مثل آثام من اتبعه لا ينقص من آثامهم شيئا

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قال من سن في الإسلام سنة حسنة فعمل بها من بعده كان له أجراها وأجر من عمل بها من غير أن ينتقص من أجورهم شَيْءٌ وَهَذَا الحديثُ لاَ نَعْلَمُ رَوَاهُ عَنْ أيوب عن مُحَمَّد عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ إلا عبد الوارث ورواه هشام عن مُحَمَّد عن أبي عبيدة بن حذيفة عن أبيه

"اعْلَمْ يا بلالُ أَنَّهُ من أحيا سُنَّةً من سُنَّتِي قد أُمِيتَتْ بعدى كان له من الأَجْرِ مثلُ من عمل بها من غيرِ أن يَنْقُصَ من أُجُورِهم شيئًا، ومن ابتدعَ بدعةَ ضَلالةٍ، لا يَرْضَاهَا اللهُ ورسولُه كان عليه مثلُ آثام من عمِل بها، لا ينقُصُ ذلك من أَوزَارِ الناس شيئًا" .

"مَنْ أَحْيَا سُنَّةً مِنْ سُنَّتِى فَعَمِل بِهَا النَّاسُ، فإن لَهُ أَجْرُ مِثْل مَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا لَا يَنْقُصُ مِنْ أُجُورِهِمْ شَيئًا، وَمَنْ ابْتَدعً بِدْعَةً فَعَمِلَ بِهَا كَانَ عَلَيهِ أَوْزَارُ مَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا، لَا يَنْقُصُ مِنْ أَوْزَارِهِمْ شَيئًا".

"مَنْ أَحْيَا سُنَّةً مِنْ سُنَّتِى قَد أُمِيتَتْ بَعْدِى فإِنَّ لَهُ مِنَ الأجْرِ مِثْلَ منْ عَمِلهَا منَ النَّاسَ لا يَنْقُصُ من أجُورِ النَّاسِ شَيئًا، وَمَنْ ابْتَدَعَ بِدْعةً لَا يرْضَاهَا اللهُ وَرَسُولُه، فإِنَّ عَليهِ مِثْلَ إِثْمٍ مَنْ عَمِلَ بِهَا مِنَ النَّاسِ، لَا يَنْقُصُ مِنْ آثَامِ النَّاسِ شَيئًا".

"مَنْ سَنَّ سُنَّةَ هُدًى فَاتُّبِعَ عَلَيهَا كَانَ لَهُ أَجْرُهَا وَأَجْرُ مَنْ عَمِلَ بهَا مِنْ غَيرِ أَنْ يَنْقُصَ مِنْ أُجُورِهم شَيئًا، ومن سَنَّ سُنَّةَ ضَلالةٍ فَاتُّبِعَ عَلَيهَا كَانَ عَلَيهِ مِثْلُ أَوزَارِهم مِن غَيرِ أَنْ يَنْقُصَ مِن أَوْزَارِهم شَيئًا".
