[Machine] Indeed, the obligation of performing the ritual washing (ghusl) is only upon the person for whom Friday (prayer) is obligatory. Therefore, Friday prayer is prescribed for those who are able to attend it.  

البيهقي:٥٥٩٨أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ حَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الشَّافِعِيُّ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْحَافِظُ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مِنْ كِتَابِهِ آخِرَ مَجْلِسٍ جَلَسَهُ ثُمَّ مَاتَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

إِنَّمَا الْغُسْلُ عَلَى مَنْ تَجِبُ عَلَيْهِ الْجُمُعَةُ فَالْجُمُعَةُ عَلَى مَنْ يَأْتِي أَهْلَهُ
