[Machine] The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray the two rak'ahs of Fajr prayer. If I was awake, he would talk to me, otherwise he would lie down until he got up for prayer.  

البيهقي:٤٨٨٩ – وَقَدْ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْقَطَّانُ بِبَغْدَادَ أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ دَرَسْتَوَيْهِ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ ثنا سَالِمٌ أَبُو النَّضْرِ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ قَالَتْ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّي رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ فَإِنْ كُنْتُ مُسْتَيْقِظَةً حَدَّثَنِي وَإِلَّا اضْطَجَعَ حَتَّى يَقُومَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ  

رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ بِشْرِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ وَرَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَغَيْرِهِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ وَرَوَاهُ مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ خَارِجَ الْمُوَطَّأِ عَنْ سَالِمٍ أَبِي النَّضْرِ فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ عُقَيْبَ صَلَاةِ اللَّيْلِ وَذَكَرَ اضْطِجَاعَهُ بَعْدَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ
