[Machine] The Prophet ﷺ said, "If people were to be given according to their claims, then some people would claim the lives and wealth of others. However, the burden of proof is on the claimant."

Abu Abdullah, Al-Hafiz, narrated to us, Abu Amr ibn Abi Ja'far, narrated to me, Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Yusuf, narrated to me, Abu Tahir, narrated to me, Ibn Wahb, narrated to me, Ibn Juraij, and he mentioned it with a similar chain of narration.  

النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَوْ يُعْطَى النَّاسُ بِدَعْوَاهُمْ لَادَّعَى نَاسٌ دِمَاءَ قَوْمٍ وَأَمْوَالَهُمْ وَلَكِنَّ الْيَمِينَ عَلَى الْمُدَّعَى عَلَيْهِ

21198 وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عَمْرِو بْنُ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ ثنا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ فَذَكَرَهُ بِإِسْنَادِهِ نَحْوَهُ
