[Machine] By the One in whose hand is my soul, I will surely punish him for it. And I have seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ punishing himself.  

البيهقي:١٦٠١٧ – أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ أنبأ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الصَّفَّارُ ثنا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ شَرِيكٍ ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ يَعْنِي مَحْبُوبَ بْنَ مُوسَى ثنا الْفَزَارِيُّ يَعْنِي أَبَا إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي فِرَاسٍ قَالَ خَطَبَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ فَقَالَ فِي خُطْبَتِهِ أَلَا وَإِنِّي لَمْ أَبْعَثْ إِلَيْكُمْ عُمَّالِي لِيَضْرِبُوا أَبْشَارَكُمْ وَلَا لِيَأْخُذُوا أَمْوَالَكُمْ وَلَكِنْ بَعَثْتُهُمْ لِيُعَلِّمُوكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَسُنَنَكُمْ فَمَنْ فُعِلَ بِهِ غَيْرُ ذَلِكَ فَلْيَرْفَعْهُ إِلِيَّ فَأُقِصَّهُ مِنْهُ فَقَامَ عَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِ ؓ فَقَالَ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَدَّبَ بَعْضَ رَعِيَّتِهِ أَكُنْتَ مُقْتَصَّهُ مِنْهُ؟ فَقَالَ

إِي وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَأُقِصَّنَّهُ مِنْهُ وَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَقَصَّ مِنْ نَفْسِهِ
