15. Chapter
[Machine] "That the Prophet ﷺ pledged to Muadh bin Jabal his wealth and sold it in a debt that he owed."
[Machine] Muadh ibn Jabal was a young man who was patient, kind, and gentle. He was among the best youth of his people and did not hold onto anything. However, he continued to be in debt until he drowned all of his wealth in it. So, he came to the Prophet ﷺ and informed him about his situation. The Prophet ﷺ spoke to his creditors, saying that if they were to leave someone for the sake of someone, they should leave Muadh for the sake of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. So, the Prophet ﷺ sold his property to them, meaning Muadh's property, until Muadh was freed from all debts.
[Machine] Muadh ibn Jabal was a young, handsome, generous man from the best of his people's youth. He would never be asked for anything without giving it, until he became indebted and lost all of his wealth. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ spoke to him about speaking to his creditors, so he did. However, they did not leave him with anything. If anyone were to be left with someone's words, it would be Muadh with the words of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . So the Prophet ﷺ called him and he did not cease until he sold his wealth and distributed it among his creditors. Muadh got up and had no wealth, and that was also the case.
[Machine] That two boys from Juhaynah had a slave between them. One of them freed his share, so the Messenger of Allah ﷺ kept him imprisoned until he sold him for his own benefit. This is a message.
[Machine] There were two men from the tribe of Juheina, who had a young boy between them. One of them set the boy free and he went to the Prophet ﷺ , who took care of him. The man had close to two hundred sheep, which he sold and gave the proceeds to his companion, Hasan ibn Umara, who was weak and in need.
[Machine] After that, O people, surely the unrestrained is unrestrained by Juhayna satisfaction from his religion and his trustworthiness, except for the fact that he has been sued as a defendant and has been found guilty. So, he woke up and has consigned himself to it. So, whoever has a debt owed to him, let him come to us tomorrow morning and we will divide his wealth between his creditors and you, and the debt; for its beginning is worry, and its end is war.
[Machine] And he said, "We will divide his wealth among them equally."
